Appearance:
Gaston is pretty tall in height and stands at about 5'5", leaning closer to 5'6". You will hardly ever see him any shorter, as he doesn't slump and displays his height with an arrogant pride. Yes, he quite enjoys the fact that he towers over most others of shorter statures, which back at home meant nearly his entire village. No one could quite compare to him in that aspect even despite his younger age, and it certainly made him feel more powerful and in charge. His height hasn't changed upon shifting, and so he is sure to be peeved if he meets anyone that he has to physically look up to here in this new world. It would bother his ego to the point where he might just have to find another way to display who is the more powerful person, as ridiculous as that might sound.
In his original home, Gaston had gigantic hulking muscles. Well, realistically, they probably weren't that big and he was just fitter and worked out more than most, but this is Gaston speaking; so they were GIGANTIC HULKING MUSCLES. Yes. As Gaston would say, he was the size of a barge, which most definitely was the result of eating dozens and dozens of eggs each morning. Gaston sees no difference in the change due to his shifting, and perhaps there really was none to begin with, but people will most certainly not see a gigantic hulking muscle man in his figure. No, he is a tall boy with a lean muscled build, most evident in his arms, but he holds the build you might expect in say an average sports player, or a teenager who weight lifts regularly. Nothing too insanely ripped, but fitter than most in tone. His eyes are still a light blue, but his ponytail has been lost in the shift. Now he has more modern shorter dark hair that is styled up in the front, with occasionally a curl that falls over his forehead. His body is also very less hairy than previously. He has described himself to be quite handsome and a fine specimen, which he is sure that everyone will agree with.
At home Gaston was clothed in a red outfit with a gold collar, and the occasional gold tunic underneath a red jacket. His pants were black and completed with a dark brown belt that had a golden buckle, which in his opinion went very well with his brown sportsman hunting boots. This outfit came with him upon shifting and has not changed much, though he might find more modern clothing to replace the material. Perhaps a red muscle shirt, or a more modern red polo. He sticks to casual gear mostly and will rarely be seen in anything fancy or business-like.
Another part of his ensemble were weapons of various kinds, due to him being "the greatest hunter in the entire world". His trusted musket, for instance, was always at the ready and polished. Then there was his bow and the sheath of arrows slung onto his back, and followed by his hunting knife and a makeshift club, which he sheathed into his belt. He was just the ever-ready hunter and prided himself in being prepared to haul in more trophies to tack onto his tavern walls.
Unfortunately, his weapons are no more. You see, upon Shifting, the suits... for lack of a better term, found him to be somewhat dangerous and reckless with his weapon handling. To Gaston's dismay they took everything he had and left nothing for him to hunt with, which was pretty much their intention anyhow. There was no hunting in Tenebrae... and it would be foolish to leave this arrogant man to run around the town full of shifteds while being heavily armed to his teeth. That is, unless the suits wanted to deal with the number of people who might be shot at while he boasted about his precise aiming.
It looks like Gaston won't be doing any hunting for a while.
Personality:
Gaston is quite an arrogant man, to say the least. Due to being hailed as a town hero in his small and rather isolated little village, he thinks that he is the king of the world. There is just no one who is like Gaston, no one! And if someone were to name one... well, then he would most certainly march over there and challenge them to feats of strength. All of which in his mind he would accomplish easily, because he is the strongest there is and can lift benches with people on them if he tried to.
That being said, he is also very chauvinistic and holds many beliefs regarding man's abilities compared to women. To be fair, that is a behavior that nearly everyone was expected to hold in his time period due to what roles they believed was stated in the bible, so he wasn't the only one. That certainly won't make him any more attractive and any less infuriating to the several others here though. Perhaps his opinion might change after spending too much time in this new world, but hey- best of luck to the people of Tenebrae on that one. If there is one thing that Gaston is it's stubborn and not very bright on most issues, so his ignorance is going to be a pain to deal with and more than a hassle to get through.
Gaston also has other traits about him though. For one, he loves interior decorating- with antlers. Antlers and hunting trophies are his favorite things to decorate with. On that note, you can tell that he really loves hunting game and outdoor sports. Back in his world, hunting however wasn't just a sport. It eliminated the constant thread of predators attacking, and also kept the town fed. The skins were traded in for coins that kept currency circulating among their village as well. That's not to say that he didn't keep a lot of it for himself, but he was not completely selfless on that point. No, he was mostly just doing his job, while also reaping the benefits of being highly regarded for doing so.
When Gaston fell in love with Belle, it was hard to say as to whether she knew that he had actual feelings of love towards her due to his arrogant behavior. The truth is that he was though, at least in his mind. No other woman could compare to her. Of course, having the ego that was bigger than the entire village along with his traditional chauvinistic morals meant that he didn't know how to act properly. To him, that was how you should act, and it didn't help that pretty much all of the other women in the village worshiped him despite it. When Belle rejected him and humiliated him, he was in a very mixed state. One, was anger and indignation and not only having her physically humiliate him, but of having the rest of the town laughing at him when they were supposed to be regarding him as a hero. The other was of heartbreak. He certainly hadn't expected for anyone, let alone the only woman he loved, to just reject him like that as if she were better than him. Due to this, he currently isn't sure how he would react if he saw Belle again. He is a bit obsessed with why she won't marry him and probably wouldn't give up on the idea of marrying her, but he doesn't have a plan to make it happen yet. Let's all just hope she stays out of Tenebrae, and that no other girl ends up replacing her role as his object of affection.

Right Up to that Key Moment
History:
Gaston grew up living in the upper level of the Tavern. His father was somewhat wealthy, but after he left the Tavern was inherited to Gaston. Gaston then ran the Tavern as a business, and also taught himself how to hunt after speaking with and watching the traveling huntsman. After years of practice, he started to show exemplary performance and hauled in increasingly larger game. The town began noticing his accomplishments and regarded him as a hero, which was a new title to him. He had never been regarded as a hero before... and so he lived it up, until there was no doubt in his mind that he WAS a hero and the best in town. He would purposefully go after dangerous game just to bring back the praise from it. LeFou became his sort of accomplice around this time period, and he happily left his friend to assist him with the duties he needed done or was otherwise too good for. If he could count on anyone to tell him of what an amazing person he was, LeFou was always there to remind him, and that was probably what he liked most about LeFou as a friend.
He began noticing Belle around some time, and ended up falling in love with her. Belle, however, was pushing away from his advances. He tried to throw her and unexpected wedding and tell her how happy they would be and how they could have so many handsome sons and she could cook his food, but to his surprise and dismay she refused to acknowledge him and refused his offer of marriage. Then, she also publicly humiliated him by throwing him out the door and causing him to land face-first in the mud, which caused all of the town to laugh at him. He stormed away angrily as he was left with his mixture of emotions.
Key Moment: Gaston was taken after he asked Belle to marry him, and was rejected and humiliated. This was before the Tavern scene, before he heard of Belle's whereabouts, and before he decided to plot against Belle and Maurice and kill the Beast.

RP Sample:
Gaston stormed down the dusty dirt path of the village and intentionally kicked up the dust with his heavy hunting boots. He didn't even know what to think; all he could feel was a mixture of disappointment and anger at the results of his attempted wedding. How could Belle refuse him, and then publicly humiliate him like she had? The fact that she had even refused him to begin with, after he had gone through all of the plans and made sure no one could resist him, made his chest feel slightly empty on top of his indignation. What did he have to do to get her to be interested in him? He hadn't done anything to cause her to act like this!
In his warring thoughts, Gaston hadn't seemed to realize that the scenery had changed and he was no longer walking through his old, simple village. The buildings had vanished, and the path seemed cleaner. On either side of him was nicely manicured green grass, and a small pond could be seen up ahead that was surrounded by benches and filled with noisily quacking ducks. The feathered birds flapped their wings as the glided onto the surface of the water and swam in groups around the center near an odd spout of water.
It was just what he needed to lift his spirits- a duck hunt! Sure it wasn't as lively as a good old bear hunt or of tracking down an eagle, but it was a hunt all the same, and boy did he need something to shoot at right now. It made him momentarily forget the fact that this wasn't a place he even recognized.
He pulled out his musket and rose it up to aim. The obliviously swimming birds weren't that far away from him, so it was worth a shot to use it. He had taken down a great many things with this trusty weapon, and he was sure it was on account of his amazing skills as a hunter.
"Sir, welcome to... SIR! Please do not shoot the ducks!" A bellowing voice sounded from behind him. Gaston raised an eyebrow and turned his head in frustration to face whoever had just ruined his kill. There were three men running up the path toward him, wearing odd matching black outfits and glasses that appeared to have no way to see out of. Who in the world were these men? Travelers? Merchants? They certainly didn't look like hunters... where were their weapons on their backs? How dare they pointlessly ruin his hunt!
"Do not shoot the ducks? Are you mad? I am the world's best hunter, and these ducks will make a decent kill for now," Gaston turned to aim at the ducks again, before one of the men roughly grabbed at his arm and heavily threw off his aim as he tried to pull the gun away from him. Gaston's expression changed from surprise to anger and he flared his nostrils. No one tried to take his gun away! Just who did they think they were? They were not stronger than Gaston, and they couldn't tell him what to do either! He pulled the gun back roughly, fighting the man for it with the strength of his arms. All and all it looked like a tug of war match resulting in Gaston having a slightly better lead in keeping the musket closer to himself.
"SIR, I'm going to have to ask you to put the gun down for the safety of the people here! You may hurt someone in the park!" The suit grunted as he warred to pry the loaded musket out of Gaston's arms.
"I will not give you my weapons! You cannot outmatch Gaston, I'm the strongest there is!" He replied with determination and roughly pushed the suit back to the ground. Thieves and fools! "How dare you try to steal from me! Stay back!" At this time he managed to yank the gun from the suit's grasp momentarily, and immediately swung it to point at them. Aim, hand on the trigger...
It hadn't even been a heartbeat when he suddenly had suits tackling him out of nowhere. He landed face-first on the ground with an ungraceful thud and began throwing up his fist as he wrestled with them and struggled to fight them all off. He only got a few punches in before one of them had pinned him down with his arms behind his back and the rest were just making sure he couldn't fight his way back up. One of the suits had pulled out a taser and pointed it at his side, while another a gun ready.
"We are going to confiscate all the weapons on your person. They will not be needed here, and they are an endangerment to anyone in your vicinity. After you have been stripped of your weapons, then we will lead you to your new place here in Tenebrae. Your old home is gone, though we will do our best to get you back again," One of the suits spoke up and casually adjusted his glasses. He seemed very collected as he looked down at the pinned man. "Welcome to Tenebrae. Cooperate, and you will find that living here will be worth your trouble."
