Guts merely kept walking as Twilight begun to talk again, listening to her explanation. It appeared that technology was far more advanced in this world then he had given it credit for, although that didn't stop almost half of it from sailing completely over his head. This wasn't his area of expertise. He was more suited to fighting or labor, that he could understand. Use strength or sword to solve the problem and that would be it, no further thinking and no overly complicated nonsense to go with it. If Rickert had been here, however, he would have been hanging on Twilights every word. The boy had always been curious and ingenious, able to put together or repair a crossbow better then almost anyone else in the Hawks and that was before he had met Godo. The boy had been responsible for the creation of his artificial hand, although he'd had some help from Godo, and had helped to repair his sword and armor after he returned the first time. The boy was a genius and he would have been right at home with this girl.
Nevertheless, he got a basic gist. They were like carriages that didn't need a horse, and apparently the machine engine, the thing that ran it, was at the front.
Hearing a screech from up ahead, Guts turned his head to see another of those 'Cars' approaching them at a rapid pace. He was about to call for Twilight to move out of the way, but she had already long since transplanted herself from the street, leaving him completely on his own. Just him and a giant of metal barreling towards him at high speed, intent on trampling him under foot. So far, the only bump in his routine was that he was battling a Car.
Rather then duck for cover or jump out of the way, he took two quick steps to the left and just stared at the car for a brief second. He brought his sword back, eye trained on the automobile that barreled towards him at high speeds. His grip tightened and he simply waited a brief instant longer.
It's just like any other monster. Wait for it to get close, strike before it passes, and it will fall.
Reaching his sword back a bit further, eye narrowing and a frown pressing itself across his features, he lunged forwards. As he unleashed his blades strike in a diagonal arc. He roared as he performed the attack, bellowing at the oncoming car with an almost primal fury.
