We're working over various descriptions and rules and such for the forum, and we want to get some member input on one of the ideas. Basically, we want to hash out a definite organization to how we handle posting order, which is situated under the respect rule in our official rulings thread. This way we can agree on something we're all comfortable with and run things through there.
First off, in general, we know that two people just alternate. Easy, since it make sense.
Second, with general threads of three or more people, generally we want to go with the order people have posted. We're fairly laid back when it comes to frequency of posting, so it's essentially up to whomever is running the thread. Rule of thumb would likely be to wait for a week or a week and a half before skipping over someone, because we don't want to prevent people from posting.
Third, with plot related threads. What I see as being a good way of going about it is to have it so that the staff or whomever is running the plot related thread will move things along after roughly a week or a week and a half or so of no posting. I want to be able to move the plot along for the overall board, but I don't want to leave people behind. I'd like to be able to leave it so people can keep up.
And generally speaking, when it comes to party/gathering threads, posting becomes more or less a free-for-all. If you're conversing with someone, you'll prolly want to wait for them, but overall, it's a free-for-all.
I'm willing to go with other suggestions and such of course; I want feedback from you all as well. Plus, I don't want to formalize anything until you guys agree with it. So please leave your opinion here, even if it is "what you've written sounds good" or "what so-and-so has written sounds good."
