The strange happenings have erupted in events that are way beyond the control of the suits. In fact, the suits all seem to have mysteriously vanished (like that's not a plot point in itself). Which means that they're not able to handle any of these catastrophic events at the moment, leaving it in the hands of the Shifted, which, as you all are well aware, is all of you.
There's a few catches though:
And don't worry about getting left behind! We realize that some people would love to help but aren't necessarily going to meet the every three days thing. If your character is involved, then their actions are going to slow down the action, and the NPC account will react. It might still move around your character, but you will not be left behind or abandoned.
Now, for the three events! Remember: one character cannot be at two events.
Pet Rebellion - a super-smart rat appears to be leading the various animals from the mall's pet store in open rebellion against their human masters. Oh, and he's got a few zoo animals to help, because we know you want to fight a gorilla (there's totally a gorilla there... somewhere).
Invisibility At Random? - a guided invisibility beam is striking out at the forest. It seems to be specifically cutting a path toward the boundary of Tenebrae. But it's also damaging the environment as it goes, rendering things invisible. Its aim is fairly true, but things are vanishing.
Meatlings - a tribe of barbarbic people made out of living meat have invaded the houses, to pillage, plunder, and set houses on fire. Without the suits to stop, they will ransack and pillage where the older Shifted live, and do so with great glee. On the plus side, they're not the most competent of beings. They're also made of canned meat product, so they're edible. Mostly.
There's a few catches though:
- The three events are all happening at the same time, in different places. There's no way a single character can be at more than one event at a time. It's just not humanly possible, and nobody's developed their powers enough to pull off the inhuman pull.
- There's no way that any single Shifted can stop these things. Oh, if you go in by yourself, you'll definitely have an impact. You'll likely help with damage control and stop things from getting too bad, but it's going to take at least a few Shifted to make sure that things don't get bad.
- Things are going to get bad. These events are going to move, and they are going to affect things. The NPC account will move the environment of the events, posting at least every three days to have something happen. If the Shifted interfere, they can save important parts of Tenebrae. With effort, you can even stop things. If not, well, Fate's always wanted to burn down the houses anyway.
- You can stop them. There are ways of stopping each and every event with the various Shifted as they are now. No problem is unstoppable. They are hard; they are going to react to what you do; but they are not invincible.
- Fate is not going to stop the events. Meaning that it's unlikely that coincidence will stop things, and that Fate (the staffer and RPer who is totally posting this stuff) is not going to stop the events, at least, not without help. I will not be throwing all my characters at these events and trying to stop. I will help, because that's fun for me, and it's likely that at least a couple of my characters are going to intervene, but Fate, and Shini too, are not going to stop all the events.
