Appearance:To begin with, Kori is quite pretty, and nearly as unaware of that.Back home, while she might be an alien princess, she is the younger sister, a fact that she never could quite get rid of. So she doesn't necessarily carry herself like someone who is inherently pretty. This doesn't stop her from having a nearly flawless complexion, a model's build, or brilliant emerald eyes. That she quite often goes about with a smile on her face only further enhances her beauty.
Clothing,however, is something that Kori just hasn't quite gotten the hang of yet. She understood Tamaranean fashion well enough, but that mostly entails getting your armor to look just right. While she lived with the Teen Titans, Kori pretty much wore the same thing every day: a brilliant purple and grey halter top, matching skirt, and long boots.However, she has since realized that people here vary their clothing,so she attempts to do precisely that. Attempts as she, well, seems to have a knack for mismatching clothing and picking generally things that are bright and colorful as opposed to matching. She does,however, seem to have this strange knack for actually making these outfits work, though there seems to be little doubt that anyone else could pull it off.
Personality: Kori is cheerful,naïve, friendly, and sensitive. Her powers have long been tied to her emotion, which makes her all too aware of them. It also means that she has a tendency to hold onto her positive emotions for a longer period of time, even when it make little sense. The flip of this is that her mood comes off as nearly spastic, flipping almost instantly from bubbly and happy to angry to sad,depending on the situation. Kori simply doesn't feel things by halves, and she has almost no filter when it comes to this stuff.
She is also an alien, and is painfully aware of that fact. She quite often gets various common phrases or customs off, and seems to enjoy things that most people find disgusting (like, say, chugging mustard straight from the bottle). Complicating matters is her near obliviousness to situations and a determination to plow onward no matter what. Plus,she doesn't quite understand personal boundaries, a matter further complicated by the fact that she literally learns by kissing people on the lips. However, she is permanently set to “friend making mode” and as a result, is extremely forgiving when other people don't get it. (This doesn't completely salve her feelings of isolation, however)

If you accept the friendship, you'll find yourself with an extremely loyal friend, one who almost seems like a fierce puppy. The flip of this is that you'd better be willing to pay that puppy attention...

History:
Kori was born Princess Koriand'r of Tamaran. The middle of three children, Kori was in line to more or less have ye normal royal life: be raised to support her older sibling, fight in the army, be a general, that sort of thing. Her guardian is a burly man named Galfore, who took over after Kori's parents passed away.
However, Kori's sister, Komand'r (Blackfire), plotted against her, wanting Kori out of the way. So Kori was blamed for an attack upon a people and was on route to be jailed. On route, because Kori escaped and ended up in the Titans' city. There, she ended up fighting with the Titans to hold off the aliens and earn her freedom.
Since then, she has been the cheerful spirit, the connecting glue of her friends. She went by Starfire and was known far and wide as a great hero, not that you'd ever realize it to talk to her. She spent years working with her friends, dealing with one crisis after another. They fought off Slade, destroyed the Hive, dealt with Trigon, and were even dealing with the Brotherhood of Evil. All this happened while the team grew steadily closer as friends... and more. Kori fell for the leader o fher team, a young man named Dick Grayson, who happened to go mainly by the name of Robin. The two formalized their relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend during a trip to Japan to fight off Brushogun.
On the way home,however...
Key Moment: Kori Shifted during the return journey after the Titans in Tokyo special,so she's formally in a relationship with Robin and is not currently dealing with any villains.

“Oh what joy we will have in our triumphant return! I cannot wait to greet Silkie and groom him, for he must be most---” Starfire trailed off mid-sentence, looking around her with something akin to shock. She was still sitting, still wearing her official costume, but she was no longer in the T-jet heading over the Pacific Ocean back to Titans Tower. Instead, she appeared to be sitting directly in the street. Realizing how awkward she looked, Starfire seized upon the greatest joy, the thrill of...
of not flying. Of mostly hopping in place. Starfire stared down, confusion crinkling her face. It was then that she noticed that her skin had shifted,becoming a pale white. She frowned, holding up a hand and studying it. Everything else seemed perfectly normal, but there was no doubt:her Tamaranean skin had been replaced by a perfectly normal set of human cells. She wiggled her fingers and cocked her head.
“This is quite... odd,' she said, turning to look around. People mostly ignored her, as she appeared to be perfectly fine. Starfire took a few steps toward the closest person, determined to ask for assistance, likely in getting home. She barely got that far when she felt a hand land upon her shoulder.
She jumped, which likely would have sent her flying under normal circumstances. Even now, it helped her turn around and stare at the imposing man in a suit. “I have already talked to you, and I do not wish to stare at your little blinking red light and head with you to your special containment area located under the strange warehouse. Thank you thou--”
“You're confused, yes? Just arrived here from somewhere.... different?”
“Why yes! Yes I did. You see, my friends and I--”
“We can explain everything, come with us,” the man turned waving. He paused, then looked over his shoulder at Starfire. “What's your name?”
“Starfire.”
He blinked.“Seriously?”
“Well,my real name is Koriand'r...”
“Right,please come with us then, Miss Ander.”
“You will explain...?”
A nod. Starfire... Kori, shifted, looking over her shoulder. She supposed it was probably best to go with them, at least for now, if nothing else.They certainly seemed friendlier than the other men in black. Mind made up, Kori nodded, then gestured for the man to begin walking. She followed soon after.
