Appearance:
Captain Hook is a tall, thinly built man with fair skin, long jet-black hair, thick black eyebrows, a thin black mustache and brown eyes. Previously, he was more often than most, a well-dressed pirate as the proudly titled Captain of the Jolly Roger. He once was seen dressed in a long red overcoat with gold buttons, a large crimson hat with a plumed purple feather and golden trim, dark maroon pants and black boots with golden buckles. Most of these were spoils of his looting, though he displayed them as almost a title of his wealth and skill as a pirate. When he walked, he walked with an air of casual authority, though one that could very quickly turn to anger and expressiveness at the slightest mishap in order to keep the command on his ship. Most startling and iconic of his features, however, is the silver hook that is attached to where his left hand should be. It always gave him a look of edge that could lead people to be hesitant of approaching him. It more so might have become unnerving to them as he found that he could wildly gesture and perform tasks with it as if it were a part of him, and not a dangerously sharp object that might easily impale someone.
Upon shifting, the Captain went through a rather minor change; his long overgrown hair became a shorter, medium-length with a shaggy look to it. Everything else about him remains more or less the same; even the silver hook for his hand. He was shifted over with his original attire and weaponry (a pistol and a rapier), but upon living in Tenebrae he will steer more towards darker clothes and leather, which isn't something he could easily obtain while sailing the seas. He finds that dark colors and this new style of clothing make him seem more intimidating and fitting as a pirate than his old clothes had, as well as more comfortable. He appears a lot younger than he had previously, though part of it might be due to this change in style, and the other of his shorter hair. He quite likes it the length that it is at now and intends to keep it that way.
Personality:
As a Captain of the Jolly Roger, Hook was a confident pirate to be feared, if not wary of. Though seemingly casual and laid-back on his good days, he spent most of his time plotting revenge and attempting to kill Peter Pan, revealing the much darker and determined side to him. It was also revealed that other people are often invaluable to him despite what they might think, as he has thrown overboard many a crew member on his ship just for annoying him. Yes, as a selfish man, there is little anyone else that he cares about aside from himself, though he may fool people to believing otherwise and some might refuse to believe it. Even his closest mates he is willing to throw in the line of fire if needed to in order for himself to escape. Some may think this is a trait of mere cowardice, while others might see it as a cruel and heartless act intentionally made. He will deny it, but it is true that both of these traits exist in him and have built him to be the often self-oriented person he is.
Hook is very charismatic and charming, though he is also intelligent and manipulative. He will often play up his charm to get what he wants, and has been quite persuasive using it in the past. He can feign an act that might make people think twice of him, as seen when he tricked Peter into thinking that he was remorseful for his actions. His unpredictability and dishonesty can cause others to question his true motives and which sides of him are actually himself. Usually a guarded and suspicious person would be the safest and less likely to be caught off guard by his ploys.
Being a pirate, Hook also isn't opposed of stealing and understandably has a different sense of morals than other characters would. Once it is found or taken, it is yours, as he sees it, and he does enjoy looting 'treasures' whenever he can find them. Naturally he is not too fond of the law and suits around Tenebrae for this very reason. If he were to revert back to his pirating ways, he will try to play it innocent when he can and make sure that whatever he does in front of others will be as hidden as possible.
Hook also has a huge irrational fear, and it is of ticking. Ticking clocks, and anything that resembles ticking unnerves and frightens him more than anything else, bringing him out of his normal suave manner. This was due to his hand having been fed to a crocodile, and that said crocodile following his ship ever since then as it waited to attack and consume the rest of the Captain. That being said, crocodiles are also one of the things that he fears, possibly more so than dying in a brutal sword fight.
Around strangers here, Hook will seem a bit to himself, though often attempting to seem charming in demeanor in casual conversation. He will think that Peter Pan has not come here, and temporarily give up on his vengeance with the boy for now as he lives up his life in Tenebrae. Without a ship or crew, life is going to be a lot different then he was used to for so many years. If anything, the only reason he would want to return would be to get his ship back in possession and return to being a pirate of the seas.

Right Up to that Key Moment
History:
Captain Hook started out as a cabin boy on the ranks of a ship. He joined for food, but the vessel was taken over and boarded by pirates. Most of everyone else was thrown overboard or otherwise killed, but Hook was kept alive with the agreement that he would now be the cabin boy of their ship and did whatever was ordered of him. After several years, he eventually moved up the ranks to crew member, until he one day became captain and started his own crew. He sailed a ship called the Jolly Roger and was known far and wide for his skills as a pirate, as well as his wanted status among the islands he pillaged and looted from.
One day he found a map that led him to Neverland, though once he crossed the sea border he could never return from it due to some magic that surrounded the land. It was there that Peter Pan discovered him and his crew, and took to consistently mocking them and causing torment on the Jolly Roger. It may have seemed like a childish game to Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, but what was a game to them was a serious situation for every adult crew member on board. They found their food supplies stolen, and parts of the ship destroyed beyond repair which caused them to be stranded at sea several times. Captain Hook never liked Peter Pan to begin with, seeing him as an insolent child who mocked his authority and reputation as a pirate. He fought Peter off during his daily pranks, but it wasn't until one day that things changed and they truly became rivals.
It was the day that Peter Pan cut off Hook's hand as a supposed 'prank', and fed it to the crocodiles. The excruciating pain and loss of a limb was nothing compared to the humiliation Hook endured that he had been bested by a young boy. His crew had started to turn against him, and though Hook abandoned most of them on a deserted island before he gained new ones, he still swore that he would get back at Pan for what he did to him. Mr. Smee was the only crew member Captain Hook kept with him, as he trusted his loyalty more than any of the others.
Vengeance soon became his game. Plot after plot, and every day he searched to find Pan and make him pay. His new plan soon became to find Princess Tiger Lily and capture her in order to have her tell them where Peter's hideout was. He and Mr. Smee were just sailing away in their boat with Tiger Lily held prisoner, before Hook was shifted into Tenebrae.
Key Moment: Right as Mr. Smee and Captain Hook were sailing away with Tiger Lily as a captive.

Captain Hook smirked from his side of the small wooden boat as Mr. Smee began rowing. Between them sat Tiger Lily, completely bound in ropes. Their plan had gone perfectly, and no one suspected a thing. He was one step closer to finding out where the hideout of Peter Pan was located, and then he would have his vengeance once and for all. He couldn't help but smirk as he just pictured the look of sheer surprise on that insolent boy's face when he had him by the throat. "Row faster, Smee!" The Captain barked an order as he reclined back in his seat and tapped his silver hook against the edge of the boat. Yes, they were so close to victory that there was no inclination in his mind that they would even be stopped.
Cold, murky water suddenly rushed around him and engulfed him. The captain sputtered and his eyes widened in shock as he kicked and flailed his arms, realizing that he had somehow fallen into the ocean. As his head broke the surface, his hair was plastered to his face and he coughed and then cursed under his breath. "Blast it Smee… I said row, not push the captain overboard!" He flailed out his hook-arm wildly as if hoping to knock some sense into his loyal crew member, but instead he was hitting nothing but the empty water. He was starting to notice that it seemed deathly silent too and lacking of salt… no waves, no gulls, nothing.
"Just what exactly is going on here?! Mr. Smee, I swear if you don't bring me aboard the boat, you're going to be sleeping with the codfish!" He sputtered and finally blinked as he was able to brush the wet hair out of his eyes. What he saw was enough to surprise him. All around the water was flat and brown, not like the blue-green coloring of the ocean, and the boat was no where to be seen. And where was his ship?! He had anchored it not to far, but out of view from the Natives. Now not even he could see the familiar flags hoisted in the sky above him.
"Is this some kind of JOKE?!" Hook yelled out in a booming voice that seemed to echo across the silence. If it was, it certainly wasn't funny. He muttered as he made his way toward the shore, though struggling a bit. Swimming with a hook on one hand wasn't exactly the most normal of tasks for one to attempt to do. When he finally made it to the shallows, he stomped through them angrily. He didn't know what was going on, but he certainly was going to get to the bottom of this, and more than one person was going to be thrown into the water's depths today.
"Hello Sir! Welcome to Tenebrae, and you are?" A suited man suddenly came out from the bushes and greeted him, smiling wide as if he had just met a long lost friend. It seemed a bit forced, to be honest, though it was clear that this man was trying to make a good impression.
"My name is Captain James Hook, and where have you taken my ship? SMEE, WE'VE BEEN AMBUSHED!" He shouted behind him at the water, before facing the man again with an infuriated look on his face. "You thought you could take MY ship, eh? Well I will get it back, and I'll make sure that you can walk the plank even IF I end up taking off a few limbs first!" His had went to the hilt of his rapier that was still attached to his belt.
"Wait! Sir- I'm afraid you don't understand, I didn't take your ship! You're not even near your ship anymore," The man answered quickly.
"WELL OF COURSE I'M NOT NEAR MY SHIP ANYMORE, YOU IMBECILE! IF I WAS THEN YOU'D HAVE CANNONS FIRING AT YOU BY THE SECOND!" Captain Hook shouted in reply. If there was only one thing he cared about, it was his ship. He spent practically his whole life at sea, and what captain didn't have a ship?!
"No- what I mean is, you've been taken from your world. You are now in Tenebrae. Don't worry though- we'll get you back, and find your… ship. For now though, why don't you enjoy your stay here?" The man smiled nervously as he seemed to contemplate whether or not to call in back up to hold back this angry pirate.
Hook's hand hovered above his hilt, then lowered slowly back to his side. "Not in my world, eh…? It is true that this looks nothing like Neverland, but how? You cannot leave Neverland without magic or pixie dust, similar to how you can never grow old." Captain Hook suddenly appeared thoughtful, and he examined his gleaming hook as if with newfound interest. No Neverland meant no Peter Pan, and despite his still strong desire to make the boy pay, he found that idea to be a very pleasing picture. It would be almost as great as if he had killed Peter Pan off himself… almost.
"Alright, I've decided that I will stay here for a while… but you had better be bringing my ship in one piece. I expect that there won't be as much as a single scratch on it!" He flashed a smile and held out his hook, seemingly to shake in a friendly gesture, but more so that the man understood what Hook was capable of.
