The Outside and the In
Face Claim/PB -- Saki Fukuda
Appearance: Iwasawa commonly is not at the bridge of fashion. She'll throw on whatever she has, and most of the time it's of a 'Punk Rock' style. She has short, black-ish, brown-ish hair, with brown eyes. Typically, if she's up to wearing any shoes, they'll likely be boots, and they'll likely be laced. As stated, she usually throws on whatever, so if she shows up wearing a graphic t-shirt, it's not too surprising. Iwasawa holds herself with a certain degree of pride, but not obvious pride -- it's just enough to look like she doesn't mind who she is, and she clearly doesn't. Her appearance is a bit androgynous, to the point where if she had a few fangirls, it wouldn't be too surprising to her. She's aware of how she looks, and she doesn't particularly mind it, thinking of any comments on her appearance to be a compliment -- no matter if it's simply 'you look boyish.'
Personality: Iwasawa is a thinker -- she knows how to use silence to her advantage, and she's somewhat good at judging people from their actions. This goes into her music, which is usually very passionate and filled with ambition that her usual personality doesn't show (formerly, only her bandmates were able to hold a good conversation with her - and even then, it was usually about their next performances). Iwasawa holds a certain degree of being uncomfortable with being social, due to her past -- she was gossipped about behind her back when she was young -- and so the only way she could even fathom talking to most people was to be just as fake and display a facade. When people show sincerity to her, this facade fades, and behind it you see a damaged, and emotional girl. Iwasawa is, to a certain degree, clueless, and somewhat innocent. She also happens to be quite stubborn, taking life by the reigns and moving it into her own direction.

Right Up to that Key Moment
History:
---TRIGGER WARNING: CHILD ABUSE-----
Iwasawa grew up in a broken home, with her parents constantly fighting, her dad being a drunkard, and her mom not wanting to leave. They were poor, to the extent that Iwasawa didn't even have her own bedroom, so most of the time during these fights, she'd curl up into a corner and plug her ears when the screaming began. There was no real place for her to rest, so she often went out in the midst of these fights. In one of her nighttime journeys in particular, she discovered a band called Sad Machine, and they kickstarted her love of music. In her own words...
"The vocalist who was from a bad home environment like me. Whenever things got rough, he would cover his ears with earphones and escape into the world of music. I started doing the same. I felt like my problems were blown away. The vocalist was screaming out for me. He was pleading for me. The kids acting like everything is normal are wrong, and the kids crying are right. Those of us who are lonely are true humans. He screamed out against the unfairness of the world as he lashed out and shattered it. He saved me."
And so she began enveloping herself in music, learning how to play guitar and learning how to sing. She took it upon herself to become a performer much like Sad Machine were.
This ended when she became ill, and collapsed at one of her jobs. She suffered head trauma that leaded to cerebral stroke, including aphasia which came from her attempting to stop another fight between her parents, and her father bashing her head with a beer bottle. Paralyzed, unable to move or speak, she spent her last days living in a hospital bed.
In the afterlife (really, a version of limbo), Iwasawa formed a band known as GirlsDeadMonster, or GirlDeMo, a live music band formed with other girls who shared her passions -- Iwasawa immediately became the guitarist and lead vocalist. They immediately became a hit in the afterlife school, becoming an idol for students and teachers alike. They were invited to join the 'Afterlife War Front', and Iwasawa took advantage of it to recruit a drummer and a bassist, which they currently lacked.
Their first actual performance as a completed band was in an operation by the Afterlife War Front known as Operation Tornado, in which while the student body was distracted by the performance, the rest of the front turned on giant fans to blow the meal tickets out of the students pockets...which they promptly stole, as the operation was a success.
Her final performance was intended to be a normal one, until the staff and Tenshi/Angel, the student body president, took it upon themselves to try to stop it, having gained knowledge beforehand. Despite the protests of the students, the concert is shut down, and the replica of Iwasawa's first guitar is snatched up by a staff member. She snags it back, and performs her last song -- 'My Song', a ballad about how suffering makes us all more human, what she had learned from her life. The song is broadcast around all the school, and she lies down on the ground, slowly fading away, as she'd found peace -- she'd found the strength to go to heaven at last.
Or so she thought.
Key Moment: Iwasawa was taken in the middle of her ascension, leaving her on the ground of a backyard, lifting her head up and being quite confused as to the whole situation.

Iwasawa rubbed her eyes, looking up from the grassy ground that she'd landed on. "...." She stood up, a look of insecurity crossing her mind. "....Is this...heaven?" She glanced around further. Certainly, it wasn't the school. It was a small home, and she happened to be in the backyard of it. Scratching her head, she patted her back. Yes, her guitar was there, thank the heavens. She stepped inside. "....Um....hello? Would anyone mind telling me where I am?" She crossed her arms, then hearing no response, she sighed, making her way through the home. "...It....it's not a bad place." She almost wanted to bask in the feeling of a nice home. Decorations up for the fall season, small scarecrow figures over the TV. She smiled. It almost reminded her of one of those department store windows. 'Fall is coming! Make sure to get prepared at Dillard's!' She snickered a bit, but as she walked out the front door, she bumped into a woman. "A-Ah! Sorry!" She said, stepping back. "If this is your home, I'm so, so sorry...." The woman, who happened to be holding a baby in her arms, gave Iwasawa a kind smile, and nodded.
"It's alright, dear. Let me just put little Thomas into his crib, and we can chat, alright?" The woman walked into the house, allowing Iwasawa to stay inside. Further examination of the woman showed that she was wearing a business-like suit, and clearly seemed to have some degree of knowledge for Iwasawa turning up out of the blue. This alone confused the girl, and as she took a seat at the dining table, waiting for the mother, she drummed her fingers nervously. Perhaps this wasn't heaven? Or, perhaps it was. She held her hands together, and as the woman took a seat next to Iwasawa, she got even more nervous.
"It's alright, dear. Nothing to be afraid of." The woman kindly patted Iwasawa on the arm. "My name's Shara. And you?"
"...Masami. Masami Iwasawa." Iwasawa said, with a bit of hesitance. "....C-Could you explain where I am?"
"That'll come soon, dear. So your name is Masami Iwasawa, correct? Japanese heritage?"
"Yes."
"Good, good...." Shara took a clipboard from her lap -- one that Iwasawa hadn't noticed until now, and took a note. "And do you feel any blanks in your memory?"
"None that I can think of...."
"Even better." Shara nodded. "Well...how would you react if I told you that you had switched dimensions?"
"I would....most likely think it was insane..." Iwasawa muttered.
Shara chuckled. "It's true, however. You're in a new dimension now. Don't worry a thing -- you're safe here. In fact, this has been happening to quite a bit of people as of late."
"A lot of people have switched dimensions? How....how do you know?"
"I work with a corporation running a small haven for those of reality displacement, much like yourself. This place is called Tenebrae Estates. It's simple. It's a small, gated community, with no need to pay, and no need to worry about security --it's a very secure place. You'd have a very nice life there, be able to go to school like before..." Shara paused, pursing her lips. "And you're a musician, is that right? There's a lot of opportunity for performers there..."
"....I....I don't know if I trust this. Can I see any other places?" Iwasawa asked, still looking just as nervous as before, if perhaps not moreso.
"There aren't any, I'm afraid." Shara turned a sympathetic expression to the teen, putting her hand onto Iwasawa's own. "It's really only Tenebrae...or out on the streets. And I'm sure it'd not be a life you'd want to live out there."
Iwasawa blinked, but she thought it over...she honestly knew she had no real choice in the matter, the woman seemed intent on her going, no matter what. "....I'll....I'll try it. Can you show me around the place?"
"Of course. Thomas and I will give you the grand tour." Shara smiled happily, getting up from her chair, pushing it in, and extending a hand to Iwasawa. "Anything you want before you go, dear? Water? Food? I can make a nice chicken pot pie." She winked. Iwasawa smiled a bit, letting out a small laugh.
"Water would be nice...and maybe one of those chicken pot pies before I go."
"You've got it, dear."
As Shara exited the room, Iwasawa crossed her arms, and laid her head in the middle. This certainly wasn't heaven. Not yet. But she was getting closer.
