Face Claim/PB
Alexis Bledel
Appearance:
Once in black in white, Meg is still growing accustomed to all of the color she is surrounded by. Her signature red lips stand out against her porcelain skin. Her face is framed by dark brunette hair that she tries her best to keep looking neat, especially on the days she has to go to work. No one really knew what color her eyes were until she shifted. As it turns out they're a very bright blue that, like her lips pop against the tone of her skin. Meg has a very classic appearance in terms of the way she styles her her hair leaving it down most of the time with her bangs pinned to the side, and minimal makeup despite her bright red lips.
The way Meg holds herself would having anyone scratch their head. For a pretty girl such as herself, she holds herself in such an awkward and clumsy way. She doesn't have very much confidence yet in her ability to write and that could explain why she's not so confident in the way she carries herself. When she walks she tends to glide as she is incredibly light on her feet. Meg stands at 5'9. Being a tall girl doesn't do much for confidence and it also adds to her somewhat clumsy tendencies. Most of Meg's height comes from her legs. With being tall, it also comes as no to surprise to anyone that Meg is very thin. This makes finding clothes somewhat a nuisance considering the average height for a girl her size is somewhere closer to 5'3 or 5'4.
For the reasons listed above, this could be why Meg prefers skirts and dresses to pants. Meg can usually be seen at work wearing a nice blouse and skirt or a classic simple dress. Meg has always been a fan of the classic looks (Audrey Hepburn, Princess Diana, etc.) and tries her best to emulate them. Meg isn't one for pattern therefore most of her pieces of clothing are simple with fun pops of color coming from accessories such as earrings or necklaces. Meg also loves to layer, especially in the fall with cute cardigans or darling tights that hug her thin slender legs.

Personality:
Meg is a fun-loving kind of girl. In fact one of her favorite things to do in the world is laugh. When Meg is laughing she feels like she's really being herself. One can often find Meg giggling at something little here or there. She believes with all of her heart that there is joy in the world and all you have to do is look a little for it and it will come. One could easily say Meg is a very happy person, choosing to see the positive in things rather than the bad.
As mentioned earlier Meg is very clumsy, usually dropping things and just the wrong moment. One could possibly find it cute but it's not. You especially wouldn't find it cute if you were the one who just had a large crystal paperweight dropped on your foot. A true story. Meg is trying to work on being more aware of her surroundings but sometimes she can't help it. A common occurrence in Meg's life is getting the accidental ink on her clothing or hands. Being a writer, Meg can't help that, especially since she is around ink most of the day.
Being a writer, Meg is naturally very curious about the world around her. Sometimes too curious. One of Meg's favorite games could be considered 21 Questions, considering when she's talking to you, she's usually asking questions. She's not trying to pry into your personal life, it's just a habit she has. She's thirsty for knowledge and will go to the edge of the earth and back to learn and understand. With the shift she's currently very curious as to how it happened and why she's being kept cooped up in this town. Sure it's nice but it's nothing compared to New York. Why keep these characters cooped up when there is a whole wide world out there to explore!
Along with being curious Meg could be considered impatient. She doesn't like to wait. It's only one of her many flaws that many people observe. If she asks you a question and you don't answer it, she's already moving on. If you two are having a conversation and you look down for only a moment, when you look up she is already gone.
Above all else and through her personality flaws Meg is a sweet girl. She isn't malicious and doesn't feel any ill-will towards anyone. Well except whoever pulled her from her own world and is keeping her cooped up in this odd yet charming little town. Right now Meg's priorities lie in finding George. She couldn't help but wonder if he was alright and where he was. She had made it her goal to find him.

Right Up to that Key Moment
History:
For Meg there was absolutely no memory loss here! She remembers everything from being a little girl at prep school and getting scolded by her teacher for making paper airplanes up till the magic of meeting George.
Meg was born in the mid to late 20s to a middle class family living just outside of New York. As a child Meg was fascinated with the city. It was so curious and mysterious to her with all of the different roads and types of people. Her parents would take her there on day trips as a reward for doing well in school. Meg excelled in school. Well for the most part. She struggled in math and science but dominated English and history. It was apparent from an early age that Meg loved to write. She would write on the back's of assignments her teacher would hand out and then promptly fold them up and craft them into paper airplanes and fly them across the room. The other children found this incredibly amusing, her teacher did not.
As Meg got older, her quirky and curious personality only grew brighter. Although she was a pretty girl and had her opportunities to pick up a boyfriend here and there, she found herself more fascinated with what was going on around the world. She enjoyed listening to the radio after school and pretending she was a reporter and trying to figure out how she would report the daily news.
As she grew up into a young woman her passion for writing burned bright. It was finally time for Meg to decide on college. Having had fascination with the city for so long, it was only natural that she should attend NYU in New York to obtain her degree there. Her four years of college went by in a whirlwind of writing assignments and memories of good times with friends. While there Meg finally allowed herself to date but nothing serious. It wasn't exactly like she was the serious type, especially with her personality. Finally the anticipated day of graduation arrived and with as much dignity as she could she began to cross that stage like she was receiving an olympic medal. Her bright and shinning moment was quickly ruined when she tripped on the hem of her graduation gown and went tumbling. Though no one was hurt, her pride was just slightly ruined. Like a good sport Meg stood up promptly and took her diploma and dashed off the stage as fast as she could without tripping again.
Since then Meg has worked for an assortment of odd and peculiar little jobs. Her most recent interview though for a somewhat large newspaper company went well. During this particular interview Meg had had no idea the man she had met just that morning had been trying to get her attention with none other than paper airplanes. That was the fateful day she met her George. It wasn't long before she let herself become romantically involved with the first man who dared to soar into her heart.
Key Moment: Right as Meg was leaning in to kiss George for the first time. She closed her eyes and began leaning in to meet him in the middle and suddenly she was falling forward and landed on the ground. She was no longer on her stool she was seating on and instead surrounded by trees in what looked to be a forest.

A Roleplaying Shift

Meg got up and brushed off her skirt as she looked around curiously. "George?" She called hesitantly. There were trees. Everywhere. It was almost overwhelming how many trees there were and how high they seemed to go. Was she in Washington? The trees seemed to look like redwoods but how could she possibly be in California? She was just in New York City with George! "George!" She called out again. "Where did you go?" She pondered out loud. Perhaps she was alone. This brought her back to her first thought then. Where was she? And how did she get here?
She heard crunching of leaves and instantly turned around to see a tall young man in a suit approaching her.
"Who...are you?" She asked hesitantly. Meg took a step back as he continued to approach, now at a slower pace.
"You have no reason to be afraid. I've come to get you. You're lost are you not?" He asked simply. He didn't seem dangerous and he definitely didn't seem threatening. "You've come to Tenebrae." The man informed her. "Somehow you've ended up here." He informed.
Meg had plenty of questions bubbling to the brim, just wanting to be poured out."What is Tenebrae? What part of the states? Where is George? How did I get here? This looks like California...is it?" She asked.
The man remained mum and reached out for her arm. "Let me escort you to the estates. We will do our best to make you feel at home. If you need anything just ask." He said sounding as if he was reading from a script inside his head.
"Why can't I just go home? Is this not the states? It's just a quick plane ride you see? I could just hop on and go find George." She stuttered as he began to pull her towards a small clearing in the trees. There was no use in fighting him so Meg allowed herself to be pulled towards what looked like a gated community. "I want to go home" She said as she started to pull. "I don't understand." She said fighting back now.
Meg stood no chance. Her tall willowy frame was just too fragile for a man who looked big and bulky. Finally they entered the community and to her utter amazement there were actual people here. Funny looking people, but people no less. "What is this place?" She asked once more.
The man turned to her finally and issued instructions, none of which made sense to her and turned to leave.
"Hey wait!" Meg called catching up the man who was striding away. "Where is George?" She asked one last time. The man only shrugged and continued walking in the opposite direction leaving her standing there utterly baffled.
