Tino wasn't exactly sure how long he'd been there, in the back room of the Crossbones bar, but he also didn't really mind. He was fed, he got coffee - after that whole debacle with the Jew coffee, anyway, and even that hadn't been so bad. Odd, but not bad, it wasn't like Laharl had actually tried it... that he knew of - and honestly there wasn't a whole lot of difference between being in here and being out there. They encouraged you to not leave the estates, and Tino had a feeling that was like Ivan's 'encouragement' - it meant those were the rules and heaven help you if you broke them. So there may be a little more freedom outside the bar, but it was really just a prettier cage, and without Sweden around or any idea how to get home, Tino was content (for a given value of the word content, anyway) to stay where he was.
Coffee, though, coffee was the key. It was hard to stay quite so relaxed about everything without it, especially with the volume he drank, and it had become vital to his happiness and cooperation that he get access to it whenever he needed - which was a lot. So he could come into the bar to top up his coffee mug, on the understanding that should he attempt to leave, he would be stopped. And though he had a lot of experience dealing with large, muscular, scary people, he was still... well actually rather scared of most of them thank you I'll just go back to my room now with my coffee ok it was nice to meet you goodbye. These people were not Sweden, they actually were terrifying.
Still, the coffee called, so here he was in the bar, tapping out a little rhythm on the countertop while he waited for his latest cup to brew.
