It was a cool autumn day. The school day had ended and almost all the students had left to go to their dorms. Only a few lingered. One of those few was her, Junko Enoshima. It had been a full week until the strange incident when she had appeared in the middle of the field not to far from the rest of the town. It did take her too long to settle in either.
Now she stood on top of the schools roof. Her first week was over, and everyone seems to have disappeared from sight. Her feet were on the very edge, with one more step she could have fallen to her death. It could all end here. She thought of the despair that would ensue after her jump. Her body probably wouldn't be discovered until the weekend was over, as the particular spot she was in was hidden enough so that passers-by would notice at a glance. She wondered... would she die immediately, or perhaps would she be graced with bleeding out slowly onto the pavement? It was all left to her thoughts. She knew this town had much more despair to offer then just a plain old suicide.
However, it was strange. When she was at Hope's peak the whole world had already fallen to despair. How could this one have avoided it? Truly strange indeed.
She looked down. No one was around that she could see. I need an army. The one she had formed back at Hope's Peak was gone. She would have tried to contact them, but her phone had disappeared upon her arrival in the field. She would have to craft a new one if she were to create true despair in this town. If only her sister were around... No. Nevermind. She was a pathetic sister to have. Her help would only lead her plans astray and disappoint Junko even more. Junko took a moment, however, to despair in her sisters lost. A grand smile spread across her face as she reminisced.
She then thought that if she could get the student of this school to become her army, she would definitely be able to spread her despair. Even if they tried to avoid her despair, she refused to allow herself to fail in despairifying this town. All hope would be snuffed out, and despair would finally win the battle of hope versus despair.
She sighed and closed her eyes. This place sure was getting boring, though. It would take so long to build up an army like the one she had back at Hope's Peak. She moved her foot closer to the edge of the roof. It would be so easy to fall off now. Fall off... Hm. Falling off was a bad idea, but she didn't care. If she fell, she fell. If she didn't, then she would live to despair even more.
It was a win-win situation.
