"You know, the drink that is frozen, like it is outside," explained Kori. There were hand gestures, mostly pointing outside into the snow. Yes, snow, because there was a nice, gentle snowfall happening outside, most of it sticking to sides and the streets and the like. Kori had dressed appropriately, meaning that she wore an impressive coat, scarf, and a pair of thick pink mittens. None of this had been removed either, and Kori didn't seem any the worse for wear.
In fact, Kori didn't feel much the worse for wear all the way around. if anything, she was feeling much, much better. Her skin felt stronger, her body felt lighter, and she had definitely recovered a good deal of her strength. Kori felt more or less like a Tamaranean child by now. That also meant that she didn't feel the cold or the heat nearly as well as she had just a few weeks ago. So Kori compensated by wearing the clothing, though perhaps to a large extent.
Kori shifted, snow falling down off her hair and coat onto the counter. She pointed toward the menu. "It is cold outside, and therefore it is time to sample the cold things," she explained as though this were completely normal and not at all an unusual thing to be doing. In point of fact, this was completely normal, and more or less what Kori thought she should be doing. Things were cold, therefore you should enjoy the cold things. This was how it worked.
though she wasn't sure the girl behind the counter was understanding that. Kori gestured wildly with her hands, waving them and pointing. It was time for charades. "I require," she pointed at herself, "the cold," she pointed to the snow, "frozen," pointing to the snow again, "drink, for the enjoying," she mimed drinking, "at this time." she ended with a beaming smile, which only seemed to confuse the girl more. Kori groaned, lowering her head and hitting the table with her mitten-ed fist a few times. Things danced on the counter, though thankfully not as much as they could be, should her frustration keep growing...
