Face Claim/PB
AnnaSophia Robb
Appearance: Rapunzel has a tiny build for a girl of her age. Standing at an average height of 5"3', and weighing about 110 lbs. Her most prominent feature is her hair, its kind of hard to miss. It's 70 long, and golden blonde, yeah, its alot of hair.. And her eyes, a beautiful shade of sage green, her skin is fair, with a warmth that just seems to emit from within. Freckles are sprinkled across her soft rosy cheeks, and her lips, plush with a natural soft pink coloring that always seem to hold a playful smile on them.
As far as her clothing goes, well, she is normally seen wearing her favorite lavender and pink dress. She sewed it herself, and it fits her perfectly. A corseted top, that laces up the front, and clasps in the back. The sleeves puffed, and striped purple and pink, with sheer pink sleeves, trimmed in a delicate lace. The skirt of her dress, purple, with a darker shade of purple in the middle panel, and trimmed in a embroidery that she herself did. As far as her shoes go, well living in a tower your whole life, you dont really need those. So normally, she's barefoot.
Personality: Rapunzel is a spirited, smart, kind and playful girl. She's full of adventure and life, but her last 18 years have been stuck in a tower. Spending her days cleaning, baking, sewing, painting, reading, doing just about anything to keep herself busy. Having very little to entertain herself with, she had become proficient in her literature, and mathematics, with art being her favorite subject. Her entire tower has been painted, not one inch missed. She is even educated in astronomy, she has charted stars across the entire ceiling of her tower.
Despite being someone content with her life in her tower, she longs to see the outside world. Her biggest goal is to the see the floating lights that appear every night on her birthday. Mother Gothel has tried multiple times to convince her that they are just stars, but Rapunzel knows better. She's charted stars, she knows the difference, but also knows not to press the matter with her mother.
When it comes to meeting new people, she's a little fearful at first, but it doesnt take long for her to warm up to them and be friendly. She's pretty naive to the world, but at the same time that nativity is one of her most endearing features, it tends to melt the heart of those that meet her. She is also very trustworthy, and when she makes a promise, she never, ever breaks that promise. Ever.

Right Up to that Key Moment
History:
Ever since Rapunzel can remember she's lived in the tower with her mother, Mother Gothel. She's never known anything but the tower. All her life she had been told that she was to never leave the tower because
the world was full of evil and terrible things and people that would hurt her and use her for her hair. You see, when she sings, her hair glows with magical powers of healing and age reversing. As a baby, someone tried take her hair, but the second it was cut, it turned brown and lost it's power. So, for eighteen years, she's lived in a tower hidden away in a forest. She relied on Gothel, to bring her books, and fabrics and paints. With not much else to do, that was how she entertained herself along with her daily chores. And even though Gothel spent most of her days out of the tower, Rapunzel was never really alone.
One day, while she was painting, she found a little chameleon curled up sleeping on a high beam of the tower. He was so cute, she just couldnt help but to get a better look at him. Which, unfortunately resulted in her scaring him awake, the complete opposite of her intention. But thankfully, the two made up rather quickly, and became the best of friends. They understand each other, and always have each other's backs. He was always there to comfort her, and share in her dreams of leaving the tower, and even though, he could leave at anytime, he never did, he stayed by her side. Without Pascal, Rapunzel wouldnt know how she got through living in that tower.
But, just because she cant leave her tower, it doesnt mean she cant dream about what's out there. Every year on her birthday, she sneaks out of her room, and over to the one window of the tower to watch the floating lights. It's the most magical sight she's ever seen, and it has always been her dream to see them up close instead of from her window.
That's how it was for eighteen years of her life. Same thing, different day. Until that morning of her eighteenth birthday. She and Gothel had gotten into an argument over leaving the tower and seeing her beloved floating lights. Gothel had left, after she had apologized and agreed to never leave the tower again, and that was when it happened. When he happened. The strange, but handsome man had somehow gotten into her tower. Of course, she had knocked him out with the first thing she could grab which just happened to be a frying pan. She wasnt sure how he had found her, or where he came from, but she didnt have time to dwell, within minutes, Gothel was back, and she had to hide the man in her wardrobe. She was so excited, to show her mother that she could handle herself in the real world, but it just ended with Rapunzel keeping the man a secret, and thinking of an excuse to get her mother out of the tower and keep her away for a few days, just long enough to see the floating lights and get back before she even knew she had left.
After some convincing of the man, who called himself Flynn Rider, and along with some convincing of Pascal, Flynn had finally agreed to take her to see the lights in exchange for his satchel. This was it. It was her big moment! She was finally leaving her tower and seeing the world! Rapunzel couldnt have been anymore excited. Swinging out of the tower, gliding down her hair, it was exhilarating, the grass between her toes, it was amazing. Everything about the world was incredible! But she couldnt help but feel guilty about leaving and lying to her mother, but in the end, Flynn convinced her it was for the best, 'all part of growing up' he told her.
Key Moment: Flynn had convinced her to continue on her journey, even offered to take her out to eat, a place called the Snuggly Duckling. And she did love ducklings, so why not? The place was run down, and a tree had even grown into it. She remembered how it looked so homey, especially with the duckling sign. That was, until he opened the door and she saw a bright flash and then, everything went black.

Was it a dream? It felt like a dream. How else could she explain that bright light that appeared when Flynn had opened the door to the Snuggly Duckling? She was pretty certain things like that didnt usually happen...so, what had just happened?
Slowly, her eyes fluttered open, only to squint from the bright sunlight. Hadn't she just been in a shaded area of the forest? She could feel grass beneath her hands, maybe she had just passed out from shock? Slowly she sat up, her eyes focusing on grass under her hands. That was when she heard it, footsteps approaching from behind. Flynn...? Wha- Her eyes turned in the direction of the footsteps, expecting to see Flynn behind, but it wasnt Flynn. It was a man an woman, and they were dressed funny in all black. A style she had never seen before. Those green eyes of her went wide, and she scrambled for her frying pan. Finding it, she immediately held it out in front of her defensively.
The woman bent down, to her level, the whole time, Rapunzel's eyes darting back between the woman and the man. Who were they? Where was she? And what did they know about her and her hair. She was riddled with fear, but tried to keep a brave face. 'Rapunzel...it's okay, we're not here to hurt you, we're here to help you.' The woman's voice was soft, and comforting, her smile even seemed warm. Rapunzel stared at her, then looked up at the man once more who merely nodded with a smile. Who...who are you? An-and where am I? She had taken some glances at her surroundings, she was no longer in the forest, but some place weird, with houses lined up. She had never seen such a place, but then again, she never really saw any place that wasnt her tower. Oh god. Mother! What would mother think when she didnt come home!? How was she supposed to get home now? And what about the floating lights?
A hand cupped over her mouth as all these realizations hit her. She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes, and at the same time felt a hand on her shoulder. It was the woman, she was comforting her. 'Come now dear, we wont let anything bad happen to you, we'll take care of you. It's alright.' Rapunzel looked at her, she seemed nice, and as if she could be trusted. Rapunzel nodded, and slowly stood, taking ahold of some of her hair, a nervous habit, she had ever since she was a baby. Just as she began walking with the two, she paused. Wait...where's Pascal? and Flynn? She looked around nervously and worried. What had happened to her friends. 'Dont worry dear, we will find them and help them too.' She felt the woman's arm around her shoulders, urging her forward. Rapunzel nodded and followed, gathering her hair up in her arms as much as she could as she looked behind her, suddenly worrying about everything.
She had wanted to see the world, but this hadnt been what she had in mind.
