The windows were edged with frost framing the perfect window wonderland scene that was the school’s courtyard below. People bustled about in puffy coats, sweaters, gloves, scarves, and other thickly made warm layers. It was like a world of marshmallow people in all the colors of the rainbow.
The newly named Takeshi did not wish to join the poofy throng, because honestly he found thick, many layered clothing to be far too confining. He always felt like someone was trying to strangle him every time he dared wear anything close to his neck. Besides he was safely indoors away from the snow, so why wear more than needed? A pair of faded jeans, flip flops, and a tee shirt was really all that was necessary though slightly chilly.
Some people who walked on by gave him odd looks but he frankly didn’t care since he’d been getting odd looks since he woke up. At least the suits had given him some clothes, though he wondered how many naked people they must find with as many clothes he had to pick from. A hand reaches up to run through his freshly cut hair the sides nearly shaved they were so short, but the top stayed relatively long. He still hadn’t gotten used to the feeling of having hair on his head, though he had no idea why. Everyone had hair so why would it feel so freaking weird?
Shrugging he tucked the hand back so that his arms were crossed over his chest as he continued to stare out at the gently falling snow. Takeshi didn’t really know the place, and though wandering had its advantages that had gotten old within twenty minutes. So here he stood leaning against the wall, gazing out at the cold world trying to pick through the fog that contained his memories.
