Working out felt right. Good, even. just stretching the muscle and putting them through the paces. Hiro wasn't sure that what he was doing now, meaning using a stationary bike, was what he usually did. In fact, he was pretty certain that it wasn't quite a match; he seemed to recall a lot of sparring and dodging a giant stick. Still, it wasn't like he could just wander up to someone and ask to fight with them. Maybe after he'd been here a while, gotten to know a few people. That was assuming he actually ended up somehow meeting someone, which he doubted. For now though, he was enjoying the simple workout.
Though it did feel weird not having his weapons. They'd made him check the weapons at the door, insisting that the gym didn't allow any real weapons. If he wanted to train with swords, he'd have to use the ones provided by the gym. As this made perfect sense, Hiro hadn't argued. still, he missed the reassuring weight on his back. He kept reaching back, as though he could just touch them if he moved. He was doing so now, when he heard...something.
He looked up at the television in front of him. He'd turned it on mostly for white noise but now... now it played something. There were guys standing on what appeared to be the deck of a ship, and there was this one guy... he must be their leader...
"Don't worry men. There's always a way out if you just stay calm and use your head," the guy on the screen said. Yet he wasn't the only one who said it: Hiro found the words coming out of his mouth at the same time. shaking his head, he went back to cycling. However, as he did, he heard more familiar words... and they were coming from next to him. Puzzled, Hiro looked up. sure enough, there was a screen hovering over the person next to him, and on it was the same program.
"Pull yourself together man," Hiro said in time yet again. He squeezed his bike pedal, resisting the urge to follow up the slap. Turning, he looked to the person working out next to him, the person watching the same show. "Excuse me, but, uh, do you... like that show?"
Horrible, but if the show was a key to his past...
