Name: Monkey D. Luffy
Nickname/Other names: Luffy, Straw Hat Luffy
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Hometown: Foosha Village
Canon: One Piece

The Outside and the In[/u]
Face Claim/PB
Irie Jinji
Appearance: Luffy is long, tall, and lanky. He stands at six foot and the very definition of a bean poll, which is strange considering he eats more than mammoth and has just about the strength of one as well. He's not completely un-athletic looking, either, he does have a fair amount of muscle definition under that shirt of his along with many scars from past battles. His arms and legs, however, seem a bit more like noodles. That definition disturbingly more accurate than you could ever imagine. He has dark, unruly hair that probably wouldn't stay in place even if he cared to try. Brown eyes that shine with mischief and tend to go perfectly with his often present manic grin.
As far as clothing goes, Luffy likes to keep it simple. If this new universe didn't wear out clothing a lot faster than at home, he'd wear the same thing forever. Even here he mostly just alternates between a few shirts and pants. Things are sure to get interesting when the weather gets colder. One thing he will always wear, however, no matter what, rain or shine, is his straw hat with a red ribbon around it.
Personality:
Luffy, to put it plainly, is a social disaster. He has the attention span and the hyperactivity of a child. He recklessly runs through life, setting goals for himself as he goes. He may be ADHD, but he is certainly goal oriented, once his mind is made up there is hardly ever any chance to change it. This often proves a problem when the wrong button is pressed and hes sent into a violent rage. You'd think someone with noodle limbs wouldn't be that much of a threat, yet with his Gum Gum powers that allow his body to stretch and give him uncanny strength, he can be quite deadly. It would be advisable to stay on Luffy's good side. His determination goes the other way as well, however, given that he is fiercely loyal to anyone he's decided is his friend. It's all very black and white to Luffy, you're either a good guy or a bad one and he is extremely confident in his judgments.
Luffy has strange logic as well. Not to mention, hes not the brightest bulb in the shed all of the time. You might be a bad guy, but if you make him food you might be put on the good guy list. (Did I mention hes an obsessive eater?) He won't give up on anything he's set his mind to really, not even if theres a solid chance he might die. Luffy is overconfident and irrationally brave. He doesn't fear death because he figure if he dies fighting for something he believes in then thats okay.
To sum up: ADHD, overly confidant, gangly kid that could throw a tantrum at any moment and wipe out the block. That the Lord he won't be at full power when he first arrives.

Right Up to that Key Moment[/u]
History:
Luffy had decided from the time that he was very little that he wanted to grow up and become King of The Pirates, which is a title only gained by a person that has obtained everything the world has to offer...his world anyway. The man he looked up too most in life was a great pirate and gave him his straw hat saying that he was only allowed to return it in good condition and after he became a great pirate. This has been the driving force of Luffy's ambition for a long time, but arriving here has taken it from him. He still is a very determined person and he knows theres something that he's fighting for, he just can't quite name it at the moment. At this point he has met up with most of his crew, including Nami the pirate thief, Roronoa Zoro master of the three sword style, Usopp the sharp shooter, Sanji the seafaring chef, and a few others, but they and the memories that go with them are gone for the moment otherwise he'd be likely to violently try to leave this place at every turn. His memory won't stay gone forever, but will come back slowly with his strength.
All Luffy can remember is his name and that he ate a devil fruit to give him powers....and there was something about being king of something...
Key Moment: Kay this is a little tricky because I'm being a little bit sneaky about this given the help of the memory loss. Iiiiii have not watched all 500 episodes of this show yet and I know for a fact that I'm going to want him to eventually remember some of the things I've get to watch. I'm going to roughly say that he was taken after Robin became a crew member. I'm sure I can get more specific once I get further into the show, or if someone else want to take a cannon from the show

Luffy was sleeping. He did that a lot. With one hand gently pressing his scratchy straw hat to his face, he lay sprawled out on the grass in one of the fields outside Tenebrae. It was a warm enough day out, with soft breezes and ruffled through the leaves. This, however, was not nearly enough racket to drown out the snors that Luffy let ring through the spring air. He was dreaming about fighting dinosaurs that tasted like candy, until the loud rumbling of his stomach and the smell of his favorite food jolted him awake.
Luffy was always hungry, and this moment in time was no exception. He froze for a moment, staring into the blackness caused by his hat over his eyes. He inhaled deeply to make sure he still wasn't dreaming then suddenly sprung to his feet with a terrifying shout.
MMMEEEEEEAAAATTT! He said, racing toward the source like he had just given a battle cry. The source happened to be a plate with five or six stakes staked on top and was, unfortunately, being held by a terribly startled woman. Luffy didn't even notice her until the plate was in his hand and he'd scarfed down a stake and a half. He shoved the things down his throat whole, not a slightest bit worried he might choke since his body was extremely used to expanding to accommodate for his excessive appetite. He plopped himself on the ground while he continued. The gangly young man was finishing up his third slab of meat, part of it still hanging out of his mouth, when the woman cleared her throat and Luffy managed to tear his eyes away from heaven to look at her.
Yes, well... she began, regaining her composer and putting on a winning smile. You must be wondering where you are.
Luffy's face dropped and he stopped chewing for a moment to blink at her. He grabbed the piece of steak that was still hanging out of his jaw and tore it apart like a bit of beef jerky. He continued to chew what was left in his mouth as he looked around.
Not really. He said after a pause. It was nice here and he was eating meat, what did it matter? Should I be? he asked, maybe he was breaking some kind of rule.
Well you... The lady began, her smile tightening uncomfortably. She cleared her throat again and opened her mouth only to be interrupted.
Hey, you got any more of this? Luffy said, shoving the empty plate back in her face. I'm starving.
The woman blinked, but continued to smile. After a moment she took a breath and began to speak, gesturing back towards a group of buildings.
Yes, of course. Right this way.
AWESOOOMMEE! Luffy shouted, taking off in the direction she had offered without warning and without waiting.
