Hiccup is seen to have, medium length dark auburn hair
and emerald green eyes, and a rather round face, with slightly sunken eyes. His nose and jaw line are perhaps the most prominent features. For his age, Hiccup is still rather small compared to
others. Weighing at 110 lbs, Hiccup could be seen as underweight.
He's not exactly tall, but nor is he too short for a boy around the age of 15, Hiccup stands at roughly 5' 2" give or take. Yet, when comparing him to his tribe of Vikings, Hiccup is exceptionally small, and 'fish bone' like. Day in and day
out, Hiccup will often wear his dark green pants, a green tunic (one
that happens to be a few sizes to big for him) that reaches down to his
mid-thigh.
Around the his waist Hiccup wears a brown belt where
he keeps a small knife safely secured away in times of need. Due to his
accident, Hiccup's left leg is prosthetic; he also has a small scar under his chin, this again was the result of yet another incident. However, due to his new found
bond with Toothless, Hiccup now wears a riding vest (designed by
himself) that helps him remain secured all the time whilst riding
Toothless.
Personality:
Despite what he appears to be on the outside, and what he
lacks in height and strength, Hiccup makes up for in intelligence.
Hiccup is constantly coming up with various inventions, most of which
are used by his tribe. Sometimes they may prove useful, where other
times they may be nothing more than a disaster. This is only
accomplished due to his love for books, or anything educational. Much
to his father’s dislike over the fact that he just so happens to have a
son blessed with brains, rather than brawn. Some of his inventions
include the dragon riding saddle, the extra wing that he attached to
Toothless's tail and many other items.
Throughout his short life
thus far, Hiccup is a determined young boy. Who is often eager to prove
his worth to his family and peers, as he wants nothing more than to
prove to them how capable he really is. Hiccup will often go to a great
many lengths to do what he can, but in many cases this only causes
further problems. There are some rare occasions where he will often stop
and think before he acts, although it is a rather unique sight and
often prefers to act on impulse rather than anything else. Hiccup is
renowned for his observational skills, as he is able to pick up on the
smallest of detail. This particularly comes into focus during his time
spent with Toothless, where Hiccup was able to notice the likes and
dislikes of dragons. Both of which he uses to his advantage without
having to cause any harm to them.
Like many teenagers, Hiccup is
naturally an awkward person, and doesn't do to well in social
gatherings. There are times where he will often stumble over his own
words or say something equally pathetic and unimportant that no one
takes an interest in. The only positive attribute for him and the only
way to counter-act this is by having his sarcastic and dry sense of humor. All of which seems to blend in well with the other Vikings of
his tribe. Yet, overall Hiccup is the type that enjoys keeping himself
to himself, or will prefer to spend what time he has with his Dragon,
and best friend Toothless. It was obvious right from the start, when
provided with the opportunity to kill a dragon Hiccup refused, that he
has a rather large sense of pity. One that knows no bounds.
Finally,
Hiccup is essentially brave. Although he may not appear it, he will do
whatever he can to protect those he cares about, and to ensure they are
kept safe. There have been a few occasions where he has acted upon
impulse alone, but the reward has always been of a great success. It is
thanks to his dedication that he was able to save his village, as well
as to teach them how to train their very own dragon.

Right Up to that Key Moment
History: (Based Upon; HTTYD movie, riders of berk and the book series)
Being the son of the tribe's leader is never an easy
feat. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the 3rd is the first born, and only born
son of Stoick the Vast of the Hairy Hooligan tribe; who are renown for
their skill in dragon slaying. To begin with, and all throughout his
childhood whilst growing up, Hiccup has been nothing but an
embarrassment to his father and the tribe. Due to his size, and lack of
physique, Hiccup was sent to work as an assistant to Gobber the Belch,
the village blacksmith. From afar Hiccup would often watch as the other
members of his tribes went off in search of dragons.
One night
during a dragon raid upon his village, Hiccup disobeyed orders and left
his work post, only to head to his latest invention the ‘bola sling’,
better named The Mangler. Awaiting the perfect opportunity Hiccup fired
and with it managed to shoot down the deadliest, most feared of all
dragons; the Night Fury. When he told the others of his victory, many
laughed in his face and refused to believe him. Yet, determined to prove
them wrong Hiccup went off in search for his kill. After following the
trail of debris left behind by the crash, Hiccup eventually came across
the dragon. It was however still breathing, so after his many attempts
at killing the beast only to fail. Hiccup released it.
Once
freed, Hiccup later discovered that the creature was in fact injured and
unable to fly. So, with the use of his intelligence and skills, Hiccup
was able to piece together a rough, temporary tail. Whilst Hiccup went
about looking for suitable alternatives, his father at this point
insisted that he be placed into Viking Training. - A training program
that would teach him art of dragon slaying - Naturally at first, Hiccup
saw this as a great opportunity, yet his dislike for killing them
continued to grow.
During that time, Hiccup remained in close
contact with the Night Fury, whom he had at this point named Toothless.
It was during their time together, Hiccup begun to re-build and modify
his previous plan - A plan that would eventually allow Toothless to fly
again with help of a prosthetic tail- So, after yet more attempts and
variations Hiccup eventually managed to help the dragon fly. This action
alone triggered the start of a very strong and long-lasting friendship, in which Hiccup discovered that he himself, had a hidden talent; often referred to as Dragonease (a very rare talent) Hiccup found out that he could in fact understand and talk to dragons, this was only due to his ever growing bond with Toothless. Whilst working with Toothless, Hiccup eventually begun to uncover some
interesting information about the species. Particularly their mannerisms
which led him to discover that if scratched in a certain spot, than
that dragon could effectively be scratched into submission. He also
discovers a dragon’s distinct dislike for eel, as well as their love for
a certain flower.
Due to this large learning curve, Hiccup begun
to transfer his gained knowledge from Toothless to the other dragons he
encountered during his training. Naturally, living such a mixed and
complicated life would lead to many questions being unanswered. On many
occasions Hiccup would often wonder off after each training session, in
order to spend time with Toothless. However this repeated disappearing
act caused suspicions to rise. One who took note of such action was none
other than a class mate Astrid Hofferson. Taking it upon herself to
discover his whereabouts, Astrid followed Hiccup one night after
training, only to discover the existence of Toothless. Just as she was
about to run off in order to tell the others of her find, Both Toothless
and Hiccup managed to stop her. In doing so the two of them later prove
to her that dragons really were of no threat. It was only during this
rare flight that the three of them discovered the location of the Red
Death dragon and with it, the entire dragons nest.
Over the next
few days that followed this discovery, Hiccup was forced to face the
final trial of his training which was to fight, and kill a Monstrous
Nightmare. However due to one of Hiccups outbursts, after he had
insisted to his father that dragons didn’t need to be killed, an
incident occurred. The Monstrous Nightmare from its cage eventually
escaped, and hearing his screams, Toothless eventually manages to regain
flight and in turn heads to Hiccup's rescue. The cost however meant
exposure, but despite his claims and words, Hiccup’s father refused to
listen. From there on he took advantage of Toothless by chaining him up
and later shipping him out in order to reach the Dragon’s nest.
After
several moments of planning, Astrid along with Hiccup helps the other
members of his group learn how to ride and train their very own dragon.
Eventually the group set out in order to save Toothless, which ended up
having Hiccup to bring out the now docile Monstrous Nightmare. After a
somewhat disastrous rescue attempt, Hiccup’s father frees Toothless,
after this, Hiccup insists that he can defeat The Red Death. With the
help from Toothless, finally Hiccup and co succeed, yet, during the
fight Toothless’s tail catches fire, limiting their time spent in the
air. Upon discovery Hiccup manages to survive, but only with help from
Toothless who had enveloped him within his wings, thus protecting him
from the full blown impact.
Finally having regained consciousness
some several hours later, Hiccup awakens only to discover that he has
been fitted with a prosthetic foot and shin that he lost during his
fall. The limb it’s self-had been especially invented and modified by
Gobber to match Toothless. For the next months that followed Hiccup went about his chores, the only difference was that he was respected, some even begun to admire him. Due to his vast knowledge and ability of dragons, Hiccup was granted the dragon slaying academy by his father, only to change it to dragon training. It was here Hiccup taught the others to train dragons, and even pick their dragons; from there on, anything dragon related was directed instantly towards Hiccup.
Key Moment: Hiccup was shifted, after his capture by Alvin some months later, who had intended to use Hiccup in order to train dragons for Alvin's use.

RP Sample:
The floor approached far to quickly for his liking, with a umph, Hiccup received a mouthful of dirt as his face an entire body was pushed against the floor, as if he would do anything! His heart raced, and his blood boiled. He was angry at himself for his stupidity for believing that there had actually been other night fury's on this island, instead it had proved to be nothing but a trap. Out of the corner of his eyes, he could see Toothless pinned to the floor, the net binding him and coiling around him; fear for his friend was evident, yet Hiccup would be struck down by Thor if they thought he was about to beg like some weakling. With an apologetic look towards his friend rough hands grabbed him, hauling him to his feet; where Hiccups hands were bound. With shaky steps he stumbled forwards as he was partly pushed and dragged, why had he not seen this coming? Why had he not gone with some others?
Glancing to the sky he just hoped at least Astrid would find him.. until then, Hiccup had to do what he could to keep both he and Toothless alive. As they walked on.. for what seemed like hours at most Hiccup could see Toothless ahead who continued to struggle at one point it had even looked like, Toothless had the upper hand yet he was once again quickly overwhelmed. Glancing towards the beast of the man who stood beside him, known as Alvin Hiccup spoke. "Setting up a trap? Sure, I would of thought it clever if I knew that you weren't getting any help. So? Who helped you then?" before an answer could be given however and whilst Alvin gloated at the 'compliment', which he had clearly not yet worked out that it was really meant as an insult. Hiccup was shoved along, cell after cell they passed, each of which held a dragon.. such as The Whispering death, Scauldren.. deadly nadder.. it appeared as if Alvin had collected every species there was. Whilst his mind raced, and as he pointed out various things that would need to be corrected, before long Hiccup's hands were unbound and he was shoved into a cell of his own-
That was when a sudden cold breeze erupted, engulfing him and sucking the wind straight from him. The ground beneath him shifted and before he knew it, in a flash of bright light Hiccup was blinded.. Shielding his eyes out of instinct he awaited the sound of rushing wind to stop until he finally peaked out from under his arm.. before him stood the vast blue carpet that was the ocean, although the wind whistled a haunting tune, Hiccup blinked.. what had just happened? Back peddling suddenly as he became aware of the sudden drop, Hiccup landed on his behind, panting softly. This.. this was surreal impossible even! His mind was a whirl wind of thoughts and emotions, where was he? where was Toothless? Panic settled in as he scrambled to his feet and yelled his friends name at the top of his lungs. All he got back was a echo of a boy. He had to do something! He couldn't just.. disappear like that! It went against all logic! Instead he raised his hand towards the sky "Why? Why did you do this? So help me Thor I'll..I'll-" He sighed, he'd what? what could he do? just then a soft voice behind him caused him to jump a foot in the air, as he turned there stood a figure clad in black, he couldn't yet work out if it was male or female, or if he could even trust them.
"Hello" The figure said, a she most certainly. Her tone was soft and he could of sworn he'd seen the flicker of a full mouth of pristine white teeth.. There didn't appear to be anything menacing about her.. sure she was dressed in black but she appeared unarmed.
"Um..Hello?" Hiccup replied, in which the woman's smile grew wider,
"It is nice to see you, we have been waiting some time, You are in Tenebrae and are currently at our shore" The woman said, tone gentle as she approached, although wary Hiccup relaxed.. a breath he didn't realize he had been holding left him in a soft whoosh.
"Ten-what?" He questioned, well he certainly wasn't anywhere he knew of.. but then what was this place how had he even got here? For a long moment questions were passed back and forth, before he was very kindly being escorted away by the woman.. and two others whom had joined her. "Heh.. talk about security issues" He mused, the woman beside him merely smiled "Do they ever talk? I think they need a holiday you know.." He continued to ramble, which was often what Hiccup did whenever he felt unsure about anything. Before long, Hiccup had arrived at a tall building, one that he had never seen the likes of, with his mouth open wide he was in awe.. he barely had time to ask any more questions, before he was escorted inside.
From there he was shown to a room, it was bigger than his room back home.. but the lady had ensured him that they'd help find his friend, and with it ensure that he was looked after. What he didn't know was the fact that he was in for a very very long time of education, education which he had never received. At least not the type that involved Maths or English. However, because he was a Hiccup.. brains were his only weapon, along with his left arm which was rather nifty at sword fighting. As he turned around, to ask yet more questions he blinked.. the figures had disappeared. With a sigh, Hiccup was surprised at the fact he had remained so calm, as he made his way towards the desk there was a subtle knock at the door.

I have been role playing for quite some time at least 10 or so years, I have only recently started playing Hiccup, but I really enjoy playing as him XD I have role played many other characters before from many fandom's so I'm not adverse to trying out something new. Back peddling suddenly as he became aware of the sudden drop, Hiccup landed on his behind, panting softly. This.. this was surreal impossible even! His mind was a whirl wind of thoughts and emotions, where was he? where was Toothless? Panic settled in as he scrambled to his feet and yelled his friends name at the top of his lungs. All he got back was a echo of a boy. He had to do something! He couldn't just.. disappear like that! It went against all logic! Instead he raised his hand towards the sky "Why? Why did you do this? So help me Thor I'll..I'll-" He sighed, he'd what? what could he do? just then a soft voice behind him caused him to jump a foot in the air, as he turned there stood a figure clad in black, he couldn't yet work out if it was male or female, or if he could even trust them.
"Hello" The figure said, a she most certainly. Her tone was soft and he could of sworn he'd seen the flicker of a full mouth of pristine white teeth.. There didn't appear to be anything menacing about her.. sure she was dressed in black but she appeared unarmed.
"Um..Hello?" Hiccup replied, in which the woman's smile grew wider,
"It is nice to see you, we have been waiting some time, You are in Tenebrae and are currently at our shore" The woman said, tone gentle as she approached, although wary Hiccup relaxed.. a breath he didn't realize he had been holding left him in a soft whoosh.
"Ten-what?" He questioned, well he certainly wasn't anywhere he knew of.. but then what was this place how had he even got here? For a long moment questions were passed back and forth, before he was very kindly being escorted away by the woman.. and two others whom had joined her. "Heh.. talk about security issues" He mused, the woman beside him merely smiled "Do they ever talk? I think they need a holiday you know.." He continued to ramble, which was often what Hiccup did whenever he felt unsure about anything. Before long, Hiccup had arrived at a tall building, one that he had never seen the likes of, with his mouth open wide he was in awe.. he barely had time to ask any more questions, before he was escorted inside.
From there he was shown to a room, it was bigger than his room back home.. but the lady had ensured him that they'd help find his friend, and with it ensure that he was looked after. What he didn't know was the fact that he was in for a very very long time of education, education which he had never received. At least not the type that involved Maths or English. However, because he was a Hiccup.. brains were his only weapon, along with his left arm which was rather nifty at sword fighting. As he turned around, to ask yet more questions he blinked.. the figures had disappeared. With a sigh, Hiccup was surprised at the fact he had remained so calm, as he made his way towards the desk there was a subtle knock at the door.
