"Sorry about hijacking your table. It wasn't my fault though," Hiro shot at the guy whose table he had flipped over and was now crouched behind, while various foodstuffs and silverware flew overhead like arrows at a battle. Hiro wince as he felt a particularly heavy something, likely a platter by the heft of it, collided with the table, actually causing it to creak slightly.
But it was true, really. Hiro hadn't started the fight. Sure, he'd certainly thought about starting a fight, but something told him that was against the essential ninja code. Sparring? Okay. Ninja missions that helped other people? Definitely good. Random fights with jerks in cafes who totally deserved it? Not exactly the usual. That still hadn't kept Hiro from being completely quiet. Okay, he probably shouldn't have coughed loudly into his fist after the jerk had slapped the waitress in an area you generally didn't slap waitresses. To be wholly honest, Hiro wasn't positive the waitress actually needed his help. sure, the rude guy happened to have a few friends, about a half dozen or so, actually, and yeah, they looked like the type to start trouble, but for all Hiro knew, the waitress could have handled it herself.
Yet Hiro had coughed. He'd caught the attention of the jerk, who sneered at him across the half-filled cafe. There had been an insult, and Hiro seemed to recall someone throwing a pie (he would have sworn it wasn't him). The next thing he knew, the jerks had launched an all out war and he was diving behind the table of a slightly older looking guy with far too much food.
"They're jerks," Hiro offered by way of another explanation, offering the guy a "what can you do" smile before craning to look around the table. Could he take six guys...? He didn't like the odds...
