The Outside and the In
Face Claim/PB
Troian Bellisario
Appearance:
Megara stands at about 5'8", but is often perceived as taller since she has a habit of wearing decent sized heels. She's slender, but healthy looking. Her work for Hades never tended to consist of heavy lifting, exactly, so she's not particularly athletic. She's fit enough that she could defend herself if need be, but she tends to rely on her brains more than her muscle in such cases. She's got a few scars from close encounters in the past, but nothing extraordinarily obvious, her biggest scar in on her heart. Fair skin, brown hair, purple eyes. Yeah, thats right, purple, but they are a deep enough shade in this world that you might not notice right away or you manage to get inside her bubble of personal space.
As far as fashion goes, Meg likes to have a little fun. Although her attire and attitude may be mistaken for confidence in her looks, she really dresses up out of a deep insecurity brought about by a failed love. She thought he loved her, but then someone more attractive walked by and he left. Meg will not be seen in public without make-up and she tries to wear flattering clothing as often as possible. She wears purple a lot, being that it's not only her favorite color, but it brings out ehr eyes as well. Her long, pretty locks she keeps styled in one way or another, curled, pinned up, straightened, extended, she's tried just about anything except dying it. She too fond of the dark color to alter it.
Personality:
Meg is not very nice. She is certainly not evil, but her sarcastic comments and blunt truths can often get out of hand and lead to hurt feelings. She doesn't often go around seeking out fights, but she's not likely to lose gracefully if she falls into one. That's not to say she won't ever seek out a fight, she's been known to do so if something has got her really worked up. She can handle a good 'ol screaming match better then a mature conversation about feelings. She can get closed off about a lot of things if you push too hard in a serious direction. She's got about a million steel walls that can be extremely dangerous to try and break down. She can get very competitive and even cruel if things take a nasty turn, but she's not all fire and brimstone.
Meg likes a good joke, her more gentle defense tactic is humor. She might not always laugh, but know that she might appreciate it silently and thats some kind of a step in a lighter direction. Get on her good side and you might just get a chuckle or two.

Right Up to that Key Moment
History:
Meg remembers everything that has happened to her up until she got shifted. She fell in love with a handsom man in her hometown when she was just 16. Unfortunately, there aren't many pure people in her hometown of Thebes. Her lover was 18 and they were together for a year before he fell extremely ill one day. There was no remedy, he was going to die and Meg's world was going to end. When he died, to save him and herself, she made a deal was the lord of the underworld, Hades, to trade his soul for her own. Hades agreed and they were both alive, though Meg would have to do Hades bidding. She decided it wouldn't matter as long as her and her man were together forever and it was all really stupid now that she looks back on it. Stupid because not an hour after he was brought back to life an attractive girl closer to his age just walked by and he left Meg on the spot. Just like that. She sold her soul for him and he just left her. It destroyed Meg's light. Her confidence shot way down and to hold herself together she created a hard shell of sarcasm and rudeness. Hades didn't seem to mind, in fact he seemed to enjoy that she was so dark hearted, it made it a lot easier for her to give into his dark requests.
Meg did what she had to to stay alive and keep her family alive as well. She never killed for the god, but did so some pretty nasty stuff. She lied and cheated anyone Hades asked her to and put up with the god's right hand demons: Pain and Panic. They weren't so bad after a while, pretty annoying, but she silently sympathized with them over there similar predicament. After all, she had only been working for Hades for four years, these boys had been under his control for an eternity or two. After a while Meg started to wonder if she might not just be better off drifting into death, but then something happened...
Key Moment: Meg was just battling Nesus, the river god, after having refused to sleep with him when she was shifted.

A Roleplaying Shift
RP Sample:
Meg was a mess. She'd just been struggling to get from from a particularly distasteful centaur and her apparence had certainly suffered. Her hair was a tangled mess, soaked and sticking to her face, her purple robe was a disaster, dripping and ripped, and her arms and face sported a far amount of bumps and bruises. It's hard to say of she had passed out before or after the shift occurred. Either way, she was now laying on the ground looking as though she'd just taken a violent tumblr in an evil washing machine.
Meg moved her hands first, picking up a pile of sand in her hand and letting it sift through her fingers as she tried to figure out what just happened. Her whole body felt light it had weights attached to it and it took a great deal of effort to sit up. She moaned in discomfort, rubbing her forehead in a sad attempt to tame her headache. She blinked away the blur from her deep purple eyes and would have jumped if her body could have allow it.
A man stood just beside her, well dressed, smiling and rather handsome. She instantly wondered if Nesus had somehow managed to turn himself into a human, but then she dared to look past him and realized she was nowhere near where she had been. This was some kind of beach with not a river in sight. She focused back on the man, giving a huff and hurriedly wiping some of ehr hair out of her face.
Good after- He began, only to have Meg cut him off as she struggled to stand.
Save it pretty boy she began, fighting with her trembling legs to stay upright. That's annoying. Quick, distract him from your horrid appearance with snark. Care to explain? she said, gesturing to there surroundings. He looked like a man who might have answers. Either that or he was aiming for a swift kick in the unmentionables.
Yes, of course He grinned, not fazed by her vocal attacks in the slightest. Let's walk and talk He insisted, offering her his arm. Meg, of course, ignored this, but, after a short deliberation, began to walk in the the direction he had indicated. Who knows how long until Hades finds her and punishes her for her failure with Nesus, she might as well try and enjoy each moment away from him as best she can.
