For the entire morning Hiccup had been swamped with lesson after lesson, and these types of lesson proved certainly different in comparison to the classes taught by Gobber. In fact, these classes were safe! sure thy had big words, numbers among other things and for the most part Hiccup had merely watched and observed.. this place.. was so weird. His cotten jumper itched like crazy, his shirt beneath felt like it was constricting him, even these blue items known as 'jeans' were restricting. The shoes or rather.. shoe he wore did however feel rather comfortable and certainly warm.
In fact.. all his clothes did, this was the first time Hiccup could say that he felt warm and dry.. really dry. At any rate, he was still growing use to the many words used.. some of which he didn't understand, phrases and compliments he didn't get. It was all still so new to him, he had of course only been there a few days. With classes over for the morning, Hiccup managed to find the library.. it was filled with so many books! More books than he could even count! It was truly amazing, unlike most of the Hairy Hooligan tribe.. Hiccup liked to read and write and draw.. (perhaps the only one who could read, write and draw) So this to him.. this was more his type of world.. here he was someone and already he had made a few friends.. there was no annoying cousin called Snotlet to poke jokes at him, oh no and for that he was grateful.
So having spent most of the afternoon in the Library, Hiccup finally decided it was time to return back to his dorm. With his arms piled up with books of all different type (dragons of myths and legends, dungeons and dragons.. and various other mythical and dragon related books) Hiccup finally tore himself away from there. It was amazing how quick time had flown. Yet there was a small part of him that felt bad.. he hadn't thought of Toothless nearly as much as he should have.. there was just so..much going on he had been overwhelmed. Yet, after two whole days of searching, calling and looking there was still no sign of his friend and it certainly put a damper on his spirits.
Many times he would gaze at his book of dragons, his personal book that contained pictures, information even languages! relating to dragons.. the most used one happened to be the one with the night fury carefully drawn. With that book tucked safely under his arm with the many other books, Hiccup made his way out of the library. He needed something to read at night.. he didn't sleep, hadn't slept his dorm felt so foreign, and lonely more so without the comforting breathing of Toothless as he lay snoring. With a sigh, and his brow furrowed he paid little attention to where he walked when.. CRASH! He had collided solidly with someone that it sent his books scattering across the floor...
