Appearance: Finn is a fairly average looking 15 year old boy. His body type shows him to be far less athletic than you'd think, he has a pudgy looking midsection, scrawny arms and legs and a fairly underdeveloped body compared to others his age. His hair is messy and blonde and his eyes are a medium brown colour. Finn's clothing consists of a hat made from a skinned polar bear, a blue t-shirt, navy blue shorts, white socks and black sneakers. Occasionally his teeth will give off the appearance of them being rather mangled due to poor hygiene and continuous hits to his face. Finn also carries a green backpack around with him, containing either his friend, Jake or various weapons and potions for use in battle against various monsters.
Personality: Finn is at his very core, a hero. He's always been one to help those who need it, however good he is at his job is debatable. Still, when those are in need he's happy to swoop in and fight off anything he possibly can. He's always been known to be happy and friendly to those around him, especially his friends in the candy kingdom, whom he holds dear to his heart. He also holds a strong friendship with his best friend, Jake. Jake was almost like an older brother to him growing up and dispensed him great advice, meaning he was always going to be the one closest to Finn. Finn's humour is often seen to others as childish and crude, often involving bodily functions or other undesirable things. However, he attempts to be polite and not offend those around him. On occasion, that's known to fail due to his lapses in judgement.
One of Finn's worse traits are his quick responses in anger. Often, he'll let his anger get the better of him and lash out without even thinking first, usually when seeing something he deems immoral, such as when the mother of an animal wouldn't take back it's child after Finn and Jake had found it. Jake having to calm him down to go at the problem rationally rather than with his fists. Finn is also quick to jealousy if he feels someone he cares about is giving others more attention than himself, such as if Princess Bubblegum wasn't quite paying him the attention he deserved but putting more effort to talk to her subjects.

Right Up to that Key Moment
History:
When Finn was a baby, he was abandoned in a forest under a bush. It was only by chance Joshua and Margaret, two dogs who lived near the Candy Kingdom, found the young Finn. The dogs took him in and raised him alongside their sons Jermaine and Jake. Jake soon treated Finn like his younger brother and the two shared a bond, almost as if they were real brothers. Jake had previously been mutated by a magical mud puddle he'd rolled in as a puppy. With his powers, he often took Finn on adventures, getting themselves into all kinds of trouble. However, for a short while in his teens Jake got involved in crime and mugging, putting a slight wall between the two of them. Finn having a strict moral code that made him look down upon his actions.
Soon after, Finn and Jake reconciled due to the death of Jake's parents. They took their inheritance and set up shop in a treehouse, starting a hero business. For awhile, business boomed as they often fought monsters for the villages and various kingdoms around the Land of Ooo. Given that to many people that Finn was the last human alive, they often found legends of the human and the dog reached far and wide. They found themselves soon deciding that a new challenge was in order, to kill the Lich. Finn and Jake geared up, ready to take on the strongest being they could think of, the one whom caused the apocalypse to happen and who destroyed the world as they knew it.
Key Moment: During their fight against the Lich, Finn suddenly glowed, his body almost feeling like he was exploding before being transported to a new world, leaving his buddy on his own against the hideous being. "I hope you make it here, bro... I need you." were the last words Finn said as he warped into this new world.

RP Sample:
"This is SO not Math" Finn said, warped into this new world as he sat down on the ground, shaking his head as he stared at his hand. "Oh my glob! Why do I have 5 fingers? WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO TO ME?!" he screamed, standing up with fists clenched in anger as two suited individuals moved closer to him, looking almost welcoming in a way if they weren't so creepy. "Where's Jake?! Why did you bring me here?!" Finn yelled in anger. "Calm down, please tell us your name." the suited woman spoke "I-It's Finn... Finn the Human... I just wanna see my buddy, I left him against the Lich.. He'll die." Finn said in sadness, attempting not to tear up at the very thought of losing his best friend. "It's alright, Finn. Is there another surname you can use? 'The Human' won't quite work." Finn looked around "I get to pick my last name? ALGEBRAIC! Uh.. Finn Buttkicker! Finn Facemangler! Oh! No wait, Finn Battlemaster!" Finn looked excitedly, actually seemingly excited at this prospect. "I think it's best we assign your name. Finn Mertens seems a good fit for you" Finn looked defeated "Aww.. Just, you'll make sure I get back right?" he said with an almost pleading look on his face.
"It's alright, we just want to help you. You'll be taken back home, I promise. We have some-" Finn threw a fist up in the sky in anger "I want to be back home NOW, lady!" He yelled, voice cracking slightly. "Calm down, come with us. We will get you home" she said, calming Finn slightly. "Yeah, well Jake better be okay when you do get me home. Or I'm gonna open a can of whoopass on your buns, lady." The woman nodded "We'll get you to Tenebrae Estates right now, you'll be in the dormitory due to your age. I assume this isn't a problem." Finn looked at her, following behind. "Least of my problems now... This is a load of bunk, but I guess I gotta just go with the flow, right?" he said with hands into the pockets of his blue shorts, walking alongside her.
"So... you guys are human or what? are there other humans here?" Finn said, almost warming to the possibility of there being other humans to interact with, having not ever met another one in his own world. "You'll see." the woman stated, leaving Finn to wonder in his head what she meant.
