The Outside and the In
Face Claim/PB
(Young) Leonardo DiCaprio
Appearance: To others, Joey will probably come off looking like a clueless pretty boy. He stands at about 5'10" and weighs 136 pounds. Joey is actually very physically fit for age, even to the point to having six-pack abs. He may not look like it at first, but he can easily hold his own in a fight. His hair is golden blond and is long, reaching far enough to get in his eyes and to go down to the back of his neck. His eyes are also a dark hazel color. Joey's choice of clothing usually consists of either a t-shirt or a blazer with a white shirt underneath. Normally he'll either wear leather pants to match his blazer or just simply wear blue jeans, and he also tends to wear sneakers. Joey happened to be carrying his duel disk and his deck of cards with him when he shifted, so he still has those with him. Though normally he has a positive attitude, Joey's expressions can change drastically depending on his mood, from happy, to serious, to disturbingly creepy.
Personality: Joey is a very upbeat person with a positive attitude on life. He's generally pretty friendly to other people and comes off as being fairly silly. However, his comedic demeanor usually makes people usually not respect him. As positive as he usually is, Joey hates the idea of being looked down upon. Calling him inferior is a good way to be added to his enemy list. He'd do nearly anything to prove himself when it matters to him, namely with his closest friends or worst enemies.
It's hard to imagine someone being more loyal than Joey. To those he ultimate trusts and respects, Joey would do almost anything for them, even laying his life on the line. To his closest friends, he would sacrifice himself to save them in a heartbeat. Of course, he's a lot less likely to be willing to be so loyal to someone he dislikes or doesn't trust. Joey however tends to be fair in how he treats others. Show him respect, and he'll show you respect; show him none, and he'll show you none.
Two things that Joey loves are food and competition. Someone once said that way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Perhaps that isn't always true, but it definitely applies to Joey. He also loves to have some friendly competition. He'll often find himself doing things like rock, paper, scissors or sports to settle scores and bets. Joey's favorite way is through a game of Duel Monsters, though finding someone else to play with him will unfortunately be unlikely for him here...

Right Up to that Key Moment
History: Joey remembers essentially every detail of his past. To him, he passed out during a duel and when he woke up he was somewhere else.
Joey comes from a place called Domino City in Japan. At an early age his parents became divorced, leaving Joey's sister Serenity to go live with his mother while Joey lived with his brother. His parents' divorce and his separation from his mother and sister made him fairly bitter during his childhood, causing him to bully other kids with his (at the time) only friends, Tristan Taylor. He first met his best friend Yugi Muto from bullying him, but after Yugi protect Joey and Tristan from another bully even after the two of them threw a piece of Yugi's Millenium Puzzle into a canal, the three of them ended up becoming friends, and through Yugi Joey became friends with Téa Gardner.
After a run in with the rich teenage billionare Seto Kaiba, Yugi was invited to go to a
duel tournament hosted on an island. Yugi invited his friends to come, and Joey entered the tournament as well, as he needed money in order to pay for an eye surgery operation for his sister Serenity. In the end Joey didn't win the tournament but Yugi did, and gave the money to Joey so he could pay for his sister's operation.
Multiple events happened to Joey and his friends after that, including several other Duel Monsters tournaments, being trapped in a virtual reality world, and going back in time to ancient Egypt. Joey's been on many crazy adventures, but none of that will be able to prepare him for his newest and one of his biggest challenges yet.
Key Moment: It was just a normal day in Domino City for Joey Wheeler. After getting out of school Joey went to a burger joint with his friends and ended up challenging another kid from school to battle. In the middle of Domino City Plaza (a popular place in town for Duelists to duke it out), Joey got into a duel with the fellow student, his friends cheering from the sidelines. Just as Joey was about to land the finishing blow, Joey suddenly felt dizzy and passed out, and woke up somewhere else...

A Roleplaying Shift
RP Sample:
"Uuuugh..." Joey groaned as he slowly awoke. Wait a minute, why was he asleep in the first place? Wasn't he dueling someone in Domino City Plaza?
"NYEEEH! What am I doin' here?!" Joey quickly jumped up and looked around. He...was on the middle of an island. A small island, surrounded by ocean. He was on one side of the island, only feet from the water. The island was so small, that the opposite side was only about a football field away. Joey began to have unnerving flashbacks of that virtual reality place. "Aww no, not again..." Whatever was going to happen next, Joey wasn't looking forward to it.
And then nothing happened...
Joey sat on the sand, waiting for some monster to come out of nowhere and attack him or some crazy tribal fisherman to jump out of the water and challenge him to a duel or something. Eventually, Joey's began to get tired and drift off to sleep. Just as he closed his eyes, he could've sworn he heard something.
"Eh?" Joey opened his eyes again and looked around. Sure enough, he could see something off in the distance. He was uneasy at first, but as it got closer Joey quickly realized that it was actually a helicopter.
"Heeeey!! Over here!!" Joey quickly got up and began to wave his arms while also jumping up and down. Sure enough, the helicopter came in his direction and soon landed on the center of the island. As Joey walked up to it, he could see two men in black suits leave the helicopter and greet him.
"Man, I'm glad you guys are here," Joey said, relieved that maybe whatever happened could be quickly resolved and he could return home.
"We're glad too, sir."
