Lottie had been tested to the limits of her stress in this strange new world. All she wanted at this point was to find her home and the people she knew there. But she couldn't even remember who they were. All she could remember was that there were a lot them. Other than lazy strolls down the long, beautiful streets of the Garden District, she could remember vivid flashes of wild nights out on the town in the wilder part of the french quarter. She could remember the music and the lights and laughter, and dancing into the wee hours of the morning.
It was only now that she discovered Streamers. And she was absolutely delighted when she did. Maybe now she could actually relax and enjoy herself, for a little while at least. This evening, she wore a simple, close-fitting yellow dress that went to her thighs and a pare of white heals. She tied her yellow hair in a loose bun at the back of her neck, leaving a few curls loose to frame her oval face. Eager blue eyes peered before her as she made her way into the dance club, a smile of delight inching across her facade as the upbeat music reached her ears.
The room wasn't very busy just yet, but she let out a squeal of happiness and excitedly rushed in through the streaming lights. She made her way through the bodies on the dance floor until she reached a small round table near the wall. She happily sat down and hung her white shoulder bag across the back of her chair, taking a moment to size up the other patrons and get a feel for the place. She couldn't explain why, but she was accustomed to waiting to be approached unless she was with a group of other girls. She ordered a glass of coke and sat back for a moment as she sipped at it, wondering what this evening would bring, and hoping it would be good.
